Voicemail Notification

Voicemail apps and dialers often show a notification like "New voicemail from 555-123-4567" instead of ringing your phone — normal call blocking never sees these, since no call happens on your device. Voicemail Notification closes that gap: it pulls the caller's number out of the notification from a chosen voicemail/dialer app and blocks it the same way a call would be blocked, by Non-Contact or Database.
- Under Screening > Notifications, select the voicemail/dialer app you want covered (only apps already enabled there can be picked).
- Open Voicemail Notification, pick that app, and choose whether to extract numbers from the notification's Title, Body, or both.
- Number/Text Rules (default on) — also check the extracted number against your Number Rules and Text Rules, not just Non-Contact/Database.
- Allow if Call Allowed — skip the block check if this number had a recent, non-blocked call in your own Calls log (last 3 entries, within 10 minutes). This covers the case where a call was allowed through (e.g. by Repeated Call, Dialed Number, Answered Number, or a whitelist Number Rule) but the recipient didn't pick up in time, so it went to voicemail anyway.
- Repeated Call, Dialed Number, and Answered Number are calls-only trust signals and are not applied directly to voicemail notifications — a voicemail isn't itself a call. Use Allow if Call Allowed instead to carry over a recent call's allow verdict.
- STIR/SHAKEN can't apply here either, since there's no way to verify a notification's number against carrier attestation.
- When a number is allowed, the app-level Alert configured under Actions > Alerts fires, same as ordinary Notification Screening.
