Fresh Installation Notice
Version 0.6.80 installs as a new application and may appear beside an older Bubbles Browser installation. It begins with fresh profiles and settings. Data from an older installation is not transferred automatically.
- When an older installation is detected, Bubbles Browser now offers Remove old app and opens Android's official uninstall confirmation.
- The prompt reminds you to back up anything needed before removal because uninstalling permanently deletes the older app's local data.
- Choose Keep for now when you still need time to export information from the older app.
Future releases can be installed over version 0.6.80 normally. Do not uninstall version 0.6.80 before updating if you want Android to retain its local app data.

Installation
- Download
Bubbles-Browser-Android-v0.6.80.apkfrom the release assets. - Open the APK on the Android device.
- Allow installation from the current browser or file manager if Android requests it.
- Choose Install, then launch Bubbles Browser.
- Grant only the optional permissions needed for the features you use.
If Android specifically says Advanced Protection blocked the APK, open Settings, search for Advanced Protection, temporarily turn off Device protection, and authenticate. Restart if Android requests it, install the verified APK, then return to the same screen and re-enable Device protection. Keep Google Play Protect enabled.

Known Limitations
- This is a directly downloaded early-access APK and is not currently available from Google Play.
- Website behavior depends on the Android System WebView installed on the device.

- Android limits complete cookie and website-storage isolation between browser profiles.

Known Limitations
- This GitHub asset is a developer-signed early-access APK and is not a Google Play release.
- Website behavior depends on the installed Android System WebView version.
- Some streaming services may require an official app or may limit DRM playback in WebView.
- Music downloads require direct audio-file URLs and do not use the desktop extraction pipeline.
- Full WebView cookie and storage isolation between profiles is limited by Android WebView architecture.
- Android WebView cannot enforce every desktop cosmetic-filter rule or expose DNS details for CNAME uncloaking; the app reports these limits explicitly.
