Initial Public Specification
This release marks the first public specification of the Cognitive Specification Language (CSL).
CSL is a domain-specific language (DSL) for specifying AI behavioral architecture independently from implementation.
Rather than treating AI behavior as a monolithic prompt, CSL decomposes behavior into independent architectural layers that can be composed, reasoned about, and implemented across different host languages.

Scope

Philosophy
CSL prioritizes architectural clarity over implementation complexity.
Behavior should emerge through explicit composition rather than hidden side effects.
Identity remains immutable.
Environment remains descriptive.
Decision Synthesis computes behavior.
Status
Specification Stable
The architecture described in this release is intended to serve as the foundational reference for future CSL development.
