Release Notes: GroupConfig Plugin v1.0.1

This update focuses on enhancing functionality and adding a convenient blacklist feature to simplify group management.

What's New in Version 1.0.1

πŸš€ New Features

  • Blacklist Feature

    • Introduced support for excluding specific groups from the configuration using a Blacklist.
    • Supports wildcard patterns (e.g., rank_* will exclude all groups starting with "rank_").
  • Configuration Rewrite Improvements

    • The plugin now intelligently rewrites the configuration file, removing only blacklisted groups while preserving existing data for non-blacklisted groups.

πŸ”§ Enhancements

  • Improved file handling to ensure seamless reading and writing of the GroupConfig.json file.
  • Optimized group-loading logic to maintain server performance and reduce unnecessary operations.

Installation Guide

  1. Download the latest release from the [releases page](https://github.com/KeyouXZ/Group-Config/releases).
  2. Place the GroupConfig.dll file into the ServerPlugins folder of your TShock installation.
  3. Restart your TShock server to enable the plugin.

Configuration Example

The plugin will generate a GroupConfig.json file on the first run. Customize this file to suit your server's needs. Here's an updated snippet:

{
  "Blacklist": [
    "rank_*",
    "test_group"
  ],
  "Groups": {
    "admin": {
      "Parent": "newadmin",
      "Commands": "tshock.admin.ban,tshock.cfg.whitelist,tshock.npc.spawnboss,tshock.npc.spawnmob",
      "Chat Color": [255, 255, 255],
      "Prefix": null,
      "Suffix": null
    },
    "trustedadmin": {
      "Parent": "admin",
      "Commands": "tshock.cfg.*,tshock.world.*,tshock.item.spawn,tshock.heal",
      "Chat Color": [255, 255, 255],
      "Prefix": null,
      "Suffix": null
    }
  }
}

Usage Tips

  • Blacklist Usage: Add wildcard patterns to the Blacklist to exclude matching groups during configuration updates.
  • Reload Configuration: Use the /reload command to apply changes to the configuration without restarting the server.
