Release list
0.25.0
- Terminal mode: a third tab beside Code and Chat (Cmd+3, View > Terminal) for plain shells that need no project or agent. The first visit opens a shell in your home folder, ready to type.
- Split a shell right with Cmd+D or down with Cmd+Shift+D (Ctrl+Shift+D and Ctrl+Shift+Alt+D on Windows and Linux). The new shell opens in the folder the one you split is in now, after any
cd. Cmd+Option+arrow keys move focus between panes, in Code mode too, and Cmd+T opens another shell. - In Terminal mode the sidebar lists your shells by the folder each one is in, with what is running there underneath. Click to focus, double-click to rename, right-click to split, minimize or close. Pane headers show the same folder and command.
- Closing a shell in Terminal mode asks only while something is running in it, and names the command. A shell at its prompt closes at once;
exitor Ctrl+D closes the pane, and a closed split gives its room back to the panes beside it. - Terminal mode keeps its own shells and layout, apart from your workspaces: they never show up in the workspace list, the Workspace Overview, Quorum on iPhone or the session log. Switching tabs leaves every shell running, and after a restart the same splits come back with fresh shells.
0.24.0
- Every workspace keeps a session log: each Claude Code and Codex conversation run in its folder, from a Quorum pane or from another terminal, stays listed after its pane closes, with its title, prompts, and when it ran. A session belongs to the deepest workspace whose folder holds it, so a parent folder does not swallow a nested workspace's sessions.
- Each workspace has its own page, opened from the Sessions row under its agents or from the workspace's right-click menu. Sessions lists the recently closed ones first, then the rest, with search; click one to resume it exactly in a new pane (or to show the pane already running it), and right-click to resume it in chat, copy its id, reveal its transcript, or forget it. Settings holds the name, folder, color, which agent new panes start with (Cmd+T and a click on an empty zone use it too), and whether sessions started outside Quorum are listed.
- Cmd+Shift+T (File > Reopen Closed Session) brings back the last closed session with its history; press it again for the one before. New agent also offers the three most recently closed sessions.
- Minimize a pane from its menu or right-click menu to take it off the grid while it keeps running. Its sidebar row stays in place, dimmed and marked Minimized with its live status, and a click restores it to the zone it left with its output intact. The Workspace Overview counts minimized panes.
- A maximized pane stays maximized when you switch to another workspace and back.
- The Workbench button has a new icon, a clipboard with a list, and a tooltip that says what it is.
0.23.0
- Quorum on iPhone answers Codex's questions. When Codex in plan mode asks you something, the phone shows its options with their descriptions and "None of the above" with a field, one question at a time, where it used to say to answer in the terminal. Quorum reads the question from Codex's own session record and checks that Codex's picker on screen shows that same question before pressing anything.
- A request that still needs your Mac says why once, beside Show terminal.
- With the new Quorum Pocket build (0.23.0 on TestFlight): View full page shows the workbench again instead of a blank screen; Chat opens at once from a list kept on the phone; reconnects dial your Mac's last address right away, and coming back to the app checks the connection at once; and a swipe down or a tap on a terminal closes the keyboard.
0.22.0
- A maximized pane says so. Its header shows a Maximized pill with how many panes it is hiding, and clicking the pill brings the grid back. The pane's row in the sidebar carries a small marker too.
- Right-click an empty pane and choose Close this pane to remove it, the way the zone editor deletes a zone: a neighbor grows into the space. It is offered only when a neighbor can fill the gap, so closing never leaves a hole.
- Space in the Explorer opens the selected file in Quick Look, as in Finder, and Space or Esc closes it. On Windows and Linux, Space opens the file.
- Workspaces can have a color. Right-click a workspace in the sidebar and pick one of the six pane colors: the workspace gets a dot and a light wash in the sidebar, and a colored frame and dot in the Workspace Overview.
- Esc clears a Codex draft, the way it does in Claude Code. Codex's own Ctrl+C quits on an empty prompt, so Quorum sends it only when you have typed since your last message and the prompt shows your text. Everywhere else, Esc reaches Codex as before.
- Each terminal pane shows the name of its own conversation again. Outside UTC, Quorum could not match a pane to its Claude session and guessed from the folder's transcripts, so a pane could take the name of a conversation running in another pane, and a restart could resume the wrong one. After updating, the first restart may reopen a conversation the old build saved to the wrong pane; nothing is lost, and
claude --resumefinds it.
0.21.0
- Claude's tool rows in a chat pane say what they worked on: "Read Composer.tsx", "Searched for MAX_HEIGHT in src", "Listed src/**/*.css", where they used to say "Read file" and "Searched files". The line above a running reply names it too. Open a row for what the tool was asked and what it answered.
- Claude's edits show as file changes, the way Codex's do: the file's name, the lines added and removed, and the diff with Claude's own line numbers, with Open file beside it. One edit on its own shows its file at once, and an edit Claude could not apply says why.
- Subagents stay out of the reply. What a Claude subagent said and did arrived as the main agent's own words and tool rows, and could change the pane's model label. Its steps now sit inside the Agent row that started it, and the row closes with the subagent's report.
- Background subagents finish their work. Quorum stopped Claude as soon as the main agent's turn ended, which killed a subagent still running in the background and lost the reply that uses its result. The turn now stays open, and can be stopped, until the subagent reports and Claude has answered with it.
- /compact in a Claude chat pane shows its progress. A divider across the transcript says "Compacting conversation" with a timer and how much it is summarizing, then settles into what it saved ("142k → 9.4k tokens") with Claude's summary one click away, and the context ring drops to match. Reopening a pane after compacting in Terminal shows the same divider.
- Esc stops the reply in a chat pane, as it does in the terminal. In an empty message box, the Up arrow recalls your earlier prompts and Down comes forward; something you have typed is never replaced.
- A pane reopened after working in Terminal shows the same names and diffs, without the extra "Tool result" rows, and a slash command typed with words after it no longer leaves the command list open after you send it.
0.20.0
- Workbench pages are a task rail now: tasks grouped into Needs you, Working and Done, one task at a time, with an In this task list and image links shown as thumbnails that open full size. Agents write their sections as before.
- Finished tasks fold under "Show older" after three days, and the workbench no longer raises "needs you"; only agents do. The pane header keeps "Updated Xm ago".
- New Settings › Workbench designs the workbench every workspace shows: a live preview on the Deep pool, Claude prompts that land as an undoable draft, Hold to compare, Options (fold days, open first, image previews, compact rail, In this task list) and History. Save applies it to every workbench on the Mac and the phone.
- Claude runs with every tool off for this, so it can only answer; a change that would hide tasks is refused.
- "Set up workbench automatically" and phone access moved from Settings › Agents into Settings › Workbench › Options. Customize look… in a workbench pane's menu gets you there.
Quorum 0.19.0
Quorum 0.19.0 adds Quorum for Windows, with WSL support, and copy and paste in terminals on Windows and Linux.
- Quorum for Windows. Download Quorum-Setup-0.19.0.exe below. From this version on, Windows copies update themselves, as the Mac app does. The installer is not code-signed yet, so Windows asks you to confirm the first install: More info, then Run anyway.
- On Windows with WSL, terminal panes and agent CLIs run inside your Linux distro, with its PATH, home folder and sign-ins. Settings › Terminal › Shell picks WSL or Windows PowerShell, and which distro. Without WSL, panes use PowerShell. Chat view is not available under WSL yet.
- Copy and paste work in terminals on Windows and Linux. Ctrl+C copies selected text (and still stops a command when nothing is selected), Ctrl+V pastes, and so do Ctrl+Shift+C, Ctrl+Shift+V, Ctrl+Insert and Shift+Insert. Right-click a terminal for Paste too.
Mac: download the Apple Silicon DMG, or use Check for Updates in Quorum. Windows: download Quorum-Setup-0.19.0.exe.
Quorum 0.18.1
Quorum 0.18.1 fixes two bugs: Restart to Update, and Quorum on iPhone falling out of sync.
- Restart to Update installs right away again. Once the menu bar popover had been opened, Quorum closed its window but kept running, and the update waited until you quit with Cmd+Q. The fix lives in this version, so installing 0.18.1 itself may still need Cmd+Q; updates after it won't.
- Quorum on iPhone keeps up with your Mac again. When an agent's transcript was saved after the last thing its terminal showed, the phone could not read the Mac's updates and kept showing your workspaces as they were, sometimes for hours. The fix is on the Mac, so the iPhone app needs no update.

Quorum 0.18.0
Quorum 0.18.0 keeps your prompt in view in Workspace Chat, and adds a list of every prompt you've sent.
- Your prompt stays pinned under the pane header once it scrolls away, so a long reply never loses what it's answering. Scroll up into an earlier answer and the card switches to that answer's prompt. Click it to jump back to the prompt. Turn it off in Settings › Agents › Workspace Chat Mode.
- A new list button in a chat pane's header shows every prompt in the conversation, numbered with the time it was sent, and checks the one you're reading. Pick one to jump to it, even in a long chat where it hasn't loaded yet.
- Collapse replies moved from the pane header to the pane's right-click menu.

Quorum 0.17.0
Quorum 0.17.0 fixes copying, links, and closing panes in Workspace Chat, and adds Collapse replies.
- Collapse replies: a new button in a chat pane's header (or right-click) folds earlier agent replies to one line under each prompt, so scrolling back reads as a list of what you asked. Click a folded line to open that reply. The latest reply always stays open.
- Select and copy part of a chat reply: drag, double-click, or triple-click, then Cmd+C, or right-click for Copy selection.
- Links in chat open reliably, including on the first click into an inactive window. Relative links open files from the pane's folder, and a web address in
codeis a link. Right-click a link to open or copy it. - Cmd+W closes the focused pane (Ctrl+F4 on Windows and Linux), and Close Window moves to Option+Cmd+W while panes are on screen. A chat pane nobody has used closes without asking, and Return confirms a close prompt.
- A pane made while another is maximized, from the Mac or your phone, now shows up instead of opening hidden behind it.
