v1.9

Choose a tag to compare

@KillzXGaming KillzXGaming released this 31 Mar 19:34

v1.9

  • Fixed certain byte values not being read/written correctly (was as booleans)
  • Supports emitter animation sub sections. These will now dump as JSON, ie EAC0.json

Make sure to redump with this update due to json changes.

v1.8

  • Overhauled the emitter reading with full parsing, v40 and v50 support, and other various improvements. With this overhauled, I suggest redumping before importing the file data back as the emitter.json has changed.
  • Keep in mind not all emitter data changes may work as some rely on shader swapping shader.bnsh.

v1.6

  • Fix crashing both in game and while doing conversion multiple times due to bad alignment in emitter sub sections.

v1.5

  • Multiple fixes to .eff. Files with bone group info and model info should extract and import correctly now.

v1,4

  • Fixed incorrect header alignment for namco effects (fixes smash ultimate support)
  • Fixed child emitters not having counter set
  • Dumped emitters now have the original order kept track of via json

v1,3

  • Fixed 0x16 (v22) from saving incorrectly due to changes in emitter structure

v1.2

  • Fixed files with multiple user shaders.

v1.1

  • Fixed generating ptcl when no bfres is present.

Needs net6.0

A tool for dumping and generating particle files.

To use, simply drag/drop your ptcl to the tool. The tool will make a folder where you can freely swap emitter set folders between other ptcl that include the emitter, shader, model and texture information.

Version 0x16 and under are supported. The later versions are not and will not be supported due to lack of documentation and large amount of changes.

Game support may vary. I have only checked for compute, vertex and fragment shaders but other games may require additional custom shaders to be referenced.

Smash ultimate is supported and extra effect info is stored in NamcoFile.json. This should be edited when merging and adjusting new effects from other files.
