Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 21 Oct 15:46
Immutable release. Only release title and notes can be modified.

Install

Linux and macOS, in a terminal:

curl -fsSL https://github.com/KingDasWinx/Templum/releases/latest/download/install.sh | sh

Windows, in PowerShell:

irm https://github.com/KingDasWinx/Templum/releases/latest/download/install.ps1 | iex

They install the newest release. For this one, put TEMPLUM_VERSION=0.1.4 before sh
(curl … | TEMPLUM_VERSION=0.1.4 sh), or run $env:TEMPLUM_VERSION = "0.1.4" before irm.

Downloads

An installer puts Templum in your system, with its shortcuts; a portable file runs from wherever you keep it.
Each one updates itself (for a .deb or the PKGBUILD, Templum types the install command in a terminal, for your
password).

System File Kind What it's for
Windows x64 templum_0.1.4_x64-setup.exe Installer For you only, no administrator: Start menu and desktop shortcuts. The one install.ps1 runs.
Windows x64 templum_0.1.4_x64_en-US.msi Installer For every user of the computer, in Program Files; asks for an administrator.
Windows x64 templum-x86_64-pc-windows-msvc.exe Portable The bare executable: run it from any folder, nothing installed.
macOS, Apple Silicon Templum_0.1.4_aarch64.dmg Installer Open it and drag Templum to Applications.
macOS, Intel Templum_0.1.4_x64.dmg Installer The same, for an Intel Mac.
Debian, Ubuntu… templum_0.1.4_amd64.deb, templum_0.1.4_arm64.deb (ARM64) Installer sudo apt install ./templum_0.1.4_amd64.deb
Arch Linux PKGBUILD Installer makepkg -si in its folder: it downloads templum_0.1.4_x86_64.tar.gz, the package's files.
Linux templum_0.1.4_x86_64.AppImage, templum_0.1.4_aarch64.AppImage (ARM64) Portable One file for any distribution: chmod +x it and open it.
Linux templum-x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu.tar.gz, templum-aarch64-unknown-linux-gnu.tar.gz (ARM64) Portable The bare executable, to put anywhere. The one install.sh installs.

Each file has its SHA-256 in a .sha256 beside it. The builds aren't signed by an Apple or a Microsoft account yet,
so a download asks once: on macOS, System Settings ▸ Privacy & Security ▸ Open Anyway; on Windows, SmartScreen's
More info ▸ Run anyway. The one-line install on macOS doesn't ask.

What's new

Highlights

  • Agents answer with reply: an agent ends its task with reply, and its master receives that as the result. templum reply does the same from the command line, reading from standard input. In Claude Code, Codex and Copilot CLI, reply runs without asking for permission.
  • Choose the shell everywhere: pick the shell for each terminal, agent and account. The choice is saved in config.toml and kept across restarts. fish, zsh, Nushell and pwsh are detected, and so are shells from Linuxbrew, Nix and MacPorts when Templum is opened from the Dock or a menu.
  • Simpler accounts: type a name and choose Same, Fresh or Custom. Each account becomes a command in your shells.
  • Start at login: Templum can launch when you log in.

Kanban

  • You and agents can edit and delete comments
  • Redesigned card dialog, with readable comments and theme colors
  • Columns scroll when their cards don't fit
  • New Boards dialog to find, open and delete boards

Git

  • Cleaner popup that you can resize and that remembers its size
  • One dialog to switch and create branches
  • Committing a single file fills in the message automatically ("Add a.rs", "Update a.rs"…)

Canvas & blocks

  • A ⋯ button in each block's header opens its menu
  • The mouse wheel scrolls a block only when it's selected; otherwise it moves the canvas
  • Dragging a block near the edge pans the canvas
  • Notes start as "Untitled" (double-click the tab to rename) and have a cleaner look
  • ask_user dialog redesigned: long text scrolls, and a Send button confirms the answer

Fixes

  • Subagents waiting on their own subagents are no longer marked as done or ended early
  • An agent that stops responding keeps its task, and its master is notified once
  • Clearer messages for agents without Templum tools (WSL, Aider)
  • templum reply accepts input that isn't UTF-8
  • The Git popup closes when you click outside it and no longer hides behind the Templum Agent

@github-actions github-actions released this 16 Oct 21:03
Immutable release. Only release title and notes can be modified.

Features

  • A notice waits until the Enters of anything Templum typed into its agent are past, never sharing one
  • A task handed right after another doesn't count what the one before spent
  • An agent waiting for a dialog in the task it handed over hears it once, not typed too
  • Agents are told a task's end comes back typed, and that it isn't their person writing
  • An agent changes the task it handed over while it runs, instead of being refused
  • A task given no answer within its timeout comes back as failed, and its end later too
  • An agent hears when the task it handed over waits for its person, with the dialog as drawn
  • A task whose agent quit or whose block was closed comes back as failed, saying why
  • A task that comes back says what it cost or its tokens, and its transcript
  • A task handed over without waiting comes back typed into the agent that handed it
  • Each task an agent hands over has an id, said in its first line and in the replies to it
  • Templum hears which transcript an agent's turn was written to
  • A dialog an agent waits on comes back as drawn, for the agent that answers it
  • An agent with hooks whose screen stays still while it works seems stuck, and keeps its task
  • The Codex Templum opens gets its hooks instead of notify, so the person's own notify runs again
  • Templum reads Codex's hooks: a prompt taken, a permission dialog, a turn's end and Esc
  • A terminal says which agent pressed keys in it, for 10 seconds
  • An agent closes the blocks it opened, and Ctrl+Z brings them back
  • Spawn_agent starts its agent on the model and the effort it is given
  • A terminal keeps the agent that opened it and its agent's model and effort through a restart and Ctrl+Z
  • An agent stops the agent it handed a task to with interrupt

  • Know how Claude Code, Codex and Gemini CLI take a model and an effort
  • Name the keys an agent may press, sent as the keyboard sends them in the program's mode

  • Settings ▸ Connections turns the agents' connections off, gives other agents the server and installs it in Gemini CLI
  • A wire's name shows in a pill at its middle, readable from far away
  • Name a wire with Rename wire… in its menu; Ctrl+Z takes the name back
  • Templum wire connects two blocks from a terminal, and Ctrl+Z takes it back

@github-actions github-actions released this 12 Oct 19:56

Fixes

  • Zoom editor, note and Git text smoothly, keeping the lines you were reading
  • Wrap a note's text at the same words at every zoom

  • Never miss a terminal's last output, nor keep a stale command dot

Performance

  • Keep a Git block fluid with hundreds of changed files
  • Stop editor and note text flickering and stalling while zooming
  • Rebuild only the rows the terminal reports as changed
  • Read a terminal's grid only after it changed
  • Keep off-screen output from redrawing, and never wait for a whole PTY read
