A free, privacy-conscious WordPress plugin for configuring SMTP, sending email from the dashboard, and reviewing delivery status.

Privacy

• SMTP passwords are never stored in the Email Log
• Saved passwords are never displayed back in the settings form
• Email message bodies, authentication headers, and attachment contents are not logged
• Credential-like values in error messages are redacted before storage
• Logs are visible only to WordPress administrators with the manage_options capability

The SMTP password is stored in the WordPress options database because WordPress needs it at send time.

Installation

Download kingacademic-smtp-email-log-v1.0.0.zip, then go to WordPress → Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin.
