Changes

• Settings > Rekordbox: keep the latest four verified database backups by default. Choose another limit or Keep all. Unmanaged backup files and separate tag backups are preserved.
• Local Music > Organise: convert integer PCM WAV files up to 24-bit to FLAC with decoded audio verified identical, metadata and covers retained, thumbnails supported, and reviewed Rekordbox relinks. Originals remain until explicit cleanup. Floating-point and 32-bit WAV files are left unchanged.
• Organise stays open while you use the rest of the app. Its artwork page has its own searchable track checklist.
• Artwork lookup retries temporary service errors, separates existing/missing/unavailable results, and retains unavailable lookups for retry.
• Fix genre handling when Zotify already cached artist metadata; index file genres and fill empty Rekordbox genres while preserving existing labels. Genres still depend on Spotify providing artist metadata. Rescan once to index genres in existing files.
• Playlists > All Tracks: search the library, filter tracks absent from app/Rekordbox playlists, and sort by added/downloaded date. Rekordbox membership can be refreshed from its current preview.

Local music instructions

Validation: 208 tests; disposable 0.13.0-to-0.14.0 installer upgrade, packaged worker and playback, catalogue/queue/settings/music preservation, and uninstall preservation. WAV-to-FLAC audio equality and embedded artwork were checked. Live Spotify genre availability still needs user testing.

ZotiBox 0.13.0

Changes

• Faster cached library scans; unchanged files no longer open database connections individually. Folder expansion, selections and sorting survive scan refreshes. Recently added includes scanned local music.
• Local Music > Organise: reviewed consolidation, download-folder relocation with Robocopy, exact/possible duplicate review, and guarded original-file cleanup through the Recycle Bin.
• Rekordbox relinks preserve track identity, cues and analysis during relocation. Duplicate identities can be consolidated; conflicting cue sets require an explicit choice. Apply and verified native backups remain required.
• Preferred extended mixes are remembered for future Spotify syncs, local exports and Rekordbox playlists. Search local files or Spotify candidates for one playlist or the library; replacements require review.
• Recover missing compatibility receipts by verifying audio, retain conflicting files, and carry metadata/artwork into MP3 conversions. Older verified copies can have missing tags/art repaired without changing audio.
• Missing-cover repair for MP3/FLAC using conversion originals, saved Spotify identities, or exact MusicBrainz/album matches. Existing artwork is preserved and audio packets are checked unchanged.
• Downloads opens on the queue; Windows taskbar identity and icon metadata now follow the app.

Install over the current version. In Local Music > Organise, preview and copy first, apply Rekordbox relinks with Rekordbox closed, then reopen the saved operation to remove verified originals. Nothing in the existing music library is moved or deleted by installing this update.

Local music organisation instructions

Validation: 197 tests; disposable 0.12.0-to-0.13.0 installer upgrade and packaged playback; catalogue, queue and music preserved. A controlled 150-file unchanged scan measured 0.40 seconds in 0.12 versus 0.03 seconds now (about 13x). Eight real Rekordbox analysis files retained every non-path tag byte during an isolated relocation roundtrip; live source files were unchanged. Live streaming and physical pinned-taskbar appearance still need user testing.

ZotiBox 0.12.0

Changes

• Fix Rekordbox sync failing with FileType.OGG. Older Ogg/Opus files get reusable, verified MP3 320 kbps compatibility copies; originals are retained.
• Cached waveform drawing and an independent 60 Hz playhead timer, with clearer grid density while zoomed out.
• Ctrl/Shift playlist selections and valid bulk context actions for app and Rekordbox playlists.
• Simple Auto / MP3 / FLAC / Original output choices with a separate source preference. Explicit FLAC requires a lossless source.
• Playlist comparison for shared tracks, differences, duplicate positions and missing files, including CSV export.
• BPM columns using file tags and existing Rekordbox values. Scan existing music folders once to read BPM tags.

Install over the current app, then retry the Rekordbox sync. Native changes remain in preview until Apply.

Validation: 179 tests, real Ogg-to-MP3 import into a synthetic native collection without modifying the source, packaged playback, and a 0.11.0 installer upgrade preserving catalogue, queue order, music hashes and settings. Controlled cached Qt paints measured about 0.24 ms versus 23 ms in 0.11; physical display frame rate and live streaming still need user testing.

ZotiBox 0.11.0

Changes

• New circular play/pause control, frequency-colored waveforms, selectable color modes, zoom and an overview strip. Existing Rekordbox cues and beatgrids are read-only.
• Spotify links accept local extras. Link an existing Rekordbox playlist while preserving its extra tracks and song identities.
• Lossless requests inspect the selected Spotify stream. Genuine FLAC stays FLAC; lossy fallback defaults to MP3 320 kbps. Original-format copying is optional in Settings > Downloads.
• Before/after drag insertion, edge autoscroll, multirow selection and context-only track actions.
• Reuse verified backups until the native library changes externally, with a visible Rekordbox-running warning.
• Export local extras as unchanged audio with phone transfer instructions.

Validation: 164 tests, packaged muted playback, and an installer upgrade from 0.10.0 with catalogue, queue and music preservation. Live account downloads, physical Windows dragging and nonempty native beatgrids still need real-library testing. Cue/grid editing and automatic structural cues are future work.

ZotiBox 0.10.0

Queue controls and Zotify preferences.

• Drag pending tracks to reorder, use Download next, or prioritise whole playlists. Shared tracks download once.
• Remove selected entries, clear finished entries, or clear the whole queue. Downloaded music is kept; removal no longer leaves cancelled rows.
• Multi-selection survives progress updates. Active-entry removal stops that download and resumes the rest unless paused.
• Progress percentages sit beside thin bars, with continuous selection highlighting.
• Settings → Zotify adds searchable audio, filename/subfolder, metadata, lyrics and connection preferences.
