Changes since Kition 0.1.45.
This release expands Design Studio, adds inline document translation, and improves table reliability, image workflows, startup performance, and desktop compatibility.
Design Studio
- Start from bundled layouts, table records, Board frames, or Agent-generated images, and keep the resulting layers editable.
- Add alignment and distribution tools, layout constraints, rulers, margin and spacing guides, duplicate-on-drag, and text and image fit controls.
- Create multiple size variants with shared layers and independent layouts, then export every size.
- Save reusable text styles and use bundled Inter, Lora, JetBrains Mono, and Bricolage Grotesque fonts.
- Manage workspace brand colors, fonts, and a logo in Settings, and apply brand colors and typography from the editor.
- On compatible runtimes, preview Agent-proposed design changes, accept or reject them, and undo accepted changes as a single step.
- Generate images at the artboard's aspect ratio and place results with an editable headline.
- Export SVG and desktop PDF alongside PNG and JPEG, with remembered scale and background settings. Insert exported images into documents or attach them to their source table records.
- Improve large-design interaction with a windowed layer list and more efficient drag and resize previews.
Documents and images
- Translate selected text inline using the selected Agent model. Replace the selection, insert the translation below, copy it, or retry without leaving the document.
- Choose a default translation language in Settings or the translation menu. Translation is also available from the context menu, command palette, and Cmd/Ctrl+Alt+T.
- Preserve document focus and reading position when editing titles or clicking page margins and areas below images.
- Save pasted images as portable Markdown links.
- Edit images from Agent conversations without requiring an open editor, and improve image preview and editing behavior.
Tables and workspace reliability
- Fix bundled template attachment handling and multipart file uploads.
- Fix table canvas rendering after resizing and cached-layout changes.
- Use filesystem-based table discovery when supported by the runtime, while retaining compatibility with older runtimes.
- Refresh workspace data after changes and contain editor-pane errors so the workspace shell remains usable.
Interface, performance, and desktop fixes
- Default new sessions to the light theme while preserving saved theme preferences.
- Improve keyboard focus visibility, modal focus trapping and restoration, and editor tooltip placement.
- Keep the workflow Agent launcher clear of the properties drawer.
- Bring supported locales into parity and translate additional interface strings.
- Reduce startup JavaScript by loading optional editors, brand validation, and Image Studio on demand. Enforce performance budgets before creating a release tag.
- Correct document and design PDF printing for Electron 43.
- Improve Linux AppImage graphics compatibility with host Mesa libraries.
- Update the js-yaml security override and expand automated coverage for browser, Electron, accessibility, table, and design workflows.
