New features

  • Email follow-ups — send templated emails directly from the CRM via SMTP

    • crm followup <query> — interactive: pick template, review in $EDITOR, confirm, send
    • Auto-logs sent emails as notes on the contact
    • Optionally sets a "Wait for response" reminder (+7d)

  • Email templates — reusable message templates with field substitution

    • crm add template <name> / crm rm template <name> / crm templates
    • Placeholders: `{name}`, `{first_name}`, `{company}`, `{role}`, `{email}`, `{phone}`

  • Done command — `crm done ` marks current action as completed, logs it as a note, and clears the next action

Safety

  • `--dry-run` flag prints the email without sending
  • `--to` overrides recipient (for testing)
  • Confirmation prompt before every real send
  • Empty editor = cancel

Notes

  • SMTP config lives in `config.smtp` in `crm_data.json`. Password is plaintext — keep the file private (`chmod 600`).
  • Added to the `crm due` action flow alongside note/stage/next/etc.
