Privacy Policy

KittenLab builds apps and games (including KittenRush) for mobile and desktop platforms. On mobile, these SERVICES are provided free of charge and supported by advertising. On desktop platforms (such as Steam), they may be offered as paid products without advertising. All of them are intended for use as is.

This page is used to inform visitors regarding my policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decided to use my Service.

If you choose to use my Service, then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy. I will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.

Information Collection and Use

My apps do not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information such as your name, email address, or phone number. Data created while playing (such as game progress, records, and settings) is stored locally on your device. Some gameplay statistics are also sent to an analytics service to help me improve game balance, as described in the "Analytics" section below.

The apps also use third-party services that may collect information used to identify you.

Advertising

My mobile apps (Android and iOS) display advertisements served by Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK). Desktop versions do not contain advertising, so this section does not apply to them. To serve and measure ads, Google and its advertising partners may collect and process information such as:

  • Device advertising identifiers (Android Advertising ID / Apple IDFA)
  • IP address (which may be used to estimate your general location)
  • Device and app information (device model, operating system version, app version)
  • Ad interaction data (such as impressions and clicks)

Analytics

To understand how difficult each stage is and to improve game balance, my games send anonymous gameplay statistics to PostHog, an analytics service. The information sent is limited to:

  • Gameplay results (stage name, difficulty level, stage variation, whether the stage was cleared, how long it took, and whether a bonus objective was met)
  • A randomly generated identifier stored on your device, used only to group your own play sessions together
  • Platform (Android, iOS, Windows, macOS, or Linux) and app version
  • The date and time of each play session

This information contains no name, email address, phone number, precise location, or advertising identifier, and it is not used for advertising or shared with advertisers.

The randomly generated identifier is created by the app itself and is not linked to your device's advertising identifier or to any account. It is removed when you uninstall the app, and a new one is created if you reinstall.

PostHog processes this information on servers located in the United States, which means your information is transferred outside your country of residence. PostHog acts as a data processor on my behalf under a data processing agreement and is not permitted to use the information for its own purposes. Analytics data is retained for up to one year and then deleted.

Where consent is required (see the section below), these statistics are sent only after you have given consent.

Consent for Users in the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you will be shown a consent message (provided by Google's User Messaging Platform) on mobile before ads are served or gameplay statistics are collected, in accordance with the GDPR and Google's EU User Consent Policy. On desktop platforms, where no consent mechanism is available, gameplay statistics are simply not collected from users in these regions. The legal basis for both advertising and analytics is your consent. You can choose whether to consent to the use of your data; if you do not consent, you may be shown non-personalized or limited ads instead, and no gameplay statistics will be sent. You may change or withdraw your consent at any time via the "Privacy settings" option in the in-app settings.

App Tracking Transparency (iOS)

On iOS, in regions where it applies, the app may ask for permission to track you across apps and websites using Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework. If you decline, your device's advertising identifier will not be used for personalized advertising, and you may be shown non-personalized ads instead.

Log Data

I want to inform you that whenever you use my Service, in a case of an error in the app, third-party services may collect data and information on your device called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your device Internet Protocol ("IP") address, device name, operating system version, the configuration of the app when utilizing my Service, the time and date of your use of the Service, and other statistics.

Cookies

Cookies are files with a small amount of data that are commonly used as anonymous unique identifiers. These are sent to your browser from the websites that you visit and are stored on your device's internal memory.

This Service does not use these "cookies" explicitly. However, the apps may use third-party code and libraries that use "cookies" or similar technologies to collect information and improve their services. You have the option to either accept or refuse these cookies and know when a cookie is being sent to your device. If you choose to refuse our cookies, you may not be able to use some portions of this Service.

Service Providers

I may employ third-party companies and individuals due to the following reasons:

  • To facilitate our Service;
  • To provide the Service on our behalf;
  • To perform Service-related services; or
  • To assist us in analyzing how our Service is used.

I want to inform users of this Service that these third parties have access to their Personal Information. The reason is to perform the tasks assigned to them on our behalf. However, they are obligated not to disclose or use the information for any other purpose.

Security

I value your trust in providing us your Personal Information, thus we are striving to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. But remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and I cannot guarantee its absolute security.

This Service may contain links to other sites. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that site. Note that these external sites are not operated by me. Therefore, I strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of these websites. I have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.

Children's Privacy

These Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. I do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13 years of age. In the case I discover that a child under 13 has provided me with personal information, I immediately delete this from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact me so that I will be able to do the necessary actions.

Data Deletion Requests

You may request deletion of the data associated with your app installation at any time by contacting me at Pleione.P.Cluster@gmail.com. Because the analytics identifier is randomly generated and not linked to your name or account, please include the request from the device in question or describe your approximate usage period so the relevant records can be located. Upon a verified request, the associated analytics records will be deleted. Data collected by advertising partners can be managed through the consent and tracking controls described above, and you may also request its deletion via the same contact.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

I may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. I will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
