Feature Request: using a tool like cookiecutter to generate projects from template

This is a nice-to-have feature request:
It would be great if we can use the cookiecutter tool with this template so that starting new custom projects and git repos from the template can be simplified.
Similar to Slicer here:

Agreed that this would be a nice way to go!

(This is not a priority for lungair-web-application since we already have a history on the repo and would likely adopt the volview custom template on top of that rather than starting a new project from scratch)

This is a good idea! We can use npm init to do this.
