Fixed

  • Fewer false alarms on 2.4 GHz. The microwave and analog-video-camera
detectors were firing on heavy but legitimate Wi-Fi traffic, so they are
temporarily disabled on 2.4 GHz for this beta. Jammer and CW detection remain
active. (The detectors are still in the code and will return once their
    discriminators are tightened.)
  • 5/6 GHz utilization no longer stuck at ~99%. On the higher bands the device
sweeps only a couple of times per second, which caused the channel-utilization
meter to saturate. Updates are now paced to a fixed rate so the reading
    reflects real occupancy.

New

  • Waterfall time axis. The waterfall now shows wall-clock timestamps
(HH:mm:ss) down the left edge — newest at the top, older rows below.
  • Clearer SSID / location handling. When Location Services aren't enabled,
macOS hides Wi-Fi network names. Those now show as HIDDEN, and an on-screen
banner tells you how to enable location (System Settings ▸ Privacy & Security ▸
Location Services) instead of hiding the reason in the log.

New

  • Signal Reference Library. You can save traces to a file, for example you can
zoom into a small section, do a speedtest and save the trace into a library.
  • This is why the application ask for Document access.

UI

  • Hide and sidebar You can now hide the sidebar for fullscreen view.

Notes

  • Enable Location to see real SSID names in the SSID overlay. The app will
prompt on first use. If you previously denied it, reset with:
    tccutil reset Location org.teigenrf.NXT2K-Desktop
  • This is a beta; the Interferer DSP is labelled BETA in the sidebar.

First public release of the new version for MacOS made in Swift, currently a known issue where the 3D Waterfall view may experience frame stuttering while actively dragging/rotating the camera.

Example recording provided for those who do not have an NXT2K, that recording is of a PS4 on 2.4 GHz updating a game.
