Copy the file matching YOUR printer to the root of a FAT32 USB stick and power the machine on. A Creator5Pro- package will not install on a Creator 5 and vice versa.

Every package here was installed into a replica of the printer -- the real rootfs running under qemu-mipsel, with the package on a real FAT filesystem that the machine's own app_startup.sh found and installed -- and the machine was booted again afterwards and checked to come up.

If the screen stays dark, the printer is still up: ssh and Mainsail run from their own services, before and independently of the UI, so reach it at http://<printer-ip>/ or ssh in and read /usr/data/logs/helixscreen.log. There is no automatic fallback -- apk del anvil-helixscreen to boot headless on purpose. To go back to stock, put FlashForge's own package on a USB stick and power on -- that path is tested on every release too.

What’s new

Fluidd is now available alongside Mainsail. Open http://<printer-ip>:81/ to use Fluidd with the same Moonraker instance and camera. Mainsail remains available at http://<printer-ip>/ and is updated to 2.19.0.

Custom boot scripts now survive firmware updates. Put ordered *.sh scripts in /usr/data/anvil-data/scripts. They run once during every boot and write their output to /usr/data/logs/custom-scripts.log.

The boot screen now describes a normal startup. It shows progress while Reforge starts its services, connects the controller boards, and waits for Moonraker and Klipper, instead of saying that the printer is being set up on every boot.

Printing and configuration

• Filament load and unload use the selected tool’s saved material settings, use shorter overridable feed lengths, and finish loading with a retract.
• X and Y now use the same 40.4 rotation distance.
• Direct links and refreshed browser routes work in both Mainsail and Fluidd while Moonraker API routes continue to pass through unchanged.

Fixes

• The 24 V control output now follows all four hotends and turns on when any reaches 50 °C. Upgrades automatically replace FlashForge’s old [output_pin DC24V_CTL] configuration, including when the migration has already run before.
• Cancelling an object during a multi-tool print keeps extrusion and retraction history separate for each tool, avoiding incorrect extrusion adjustments after a tool change.
• Fix reverse on extruders after filament load and unload

What’s new

HelixScreen is updated to v0.99.118-creator5. The redesigned Tools and Heaters screen shows T0–T3, the bed and the chamber with live temperature graphs. Tap a tool to pick, dock or preheat it. The new Materials screen shows each tool’s material, colour and remaining spool amount.

Safer updates and recovery

• Installation stops without changing the printer if its FlashForge firmware is older than 1.9.6, and explains how to continue safely.
• Calibration and configuration edits now survive Reforge updates without interfering with a later return to stock firmware.
• This update repairs original FlashForge Klipper files that some early Reforge builds could leave changed after returning to stock.
• Changed packages are now always detected by network upgrades.

Other improvements

• Homing with a mounted tool avoids an unnecessary second X/Y pass.
• Mainsail can access the included Klipper examples and reference files.
• The user guide now has clearer installation, upgrade, recovery, calibration,
