Update:
What the script now does:
- It will quarantine the following folders:
C:\RClientOptimizer
C:\RClientOptimizer2
C:\RCO
C:\RCO2
%appdata%\RClientOptimizer
C:\Program Files (x86)\RCO
C:\Program Files (x86)\RCO2
C:\Program Files\RCO
C:\Program Files\RCO2
- The user will be allowed to review (
C:\RCO-Quarantine) and subsequently delete the listed folders and containing files inside.
- It will purge the system of these following registry keys:
HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\RCO
HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\RCO2
- The user will be prompted if they would like to remove the current fflag list. If they choose to, it will purge the flag list.
- The user will finally be prompted to scan the entire system for the listed left over
*.exe files:
RCO2.exe
RCO.exe
RCO2-Patch-Kit.exe
- If the user chooses to scan the system, each deleted file will be logged within
C:\Deleted-RCO2-Files-Log.txt with the file directories to the deleted *.exe files.
- Once the scan is complete, or the user decides to stop the scan, the log will be automatically opened for the user to review.
Fixes:
- Added a possible fix for Windows 11 users.
- The scan now scans all drives, rather than just the
C:\ drive.
