✨ New Features & Improvements
Introducing Advanced Git Integration for Interface Builder
This release marks the official launch of a deeply integrated Git workflow within the Interface Builder. This represents a major leap forward in version control, team collaboration, and development process management. The new system is built from the ground up to be robust, intuitive, and powerful.
Core Version Control & Repository Management
- Robust Authentication: Securely connect to repositories using a new branch-isolated Git manager with enhanced authentication handling.
- Project Creation: Git repository settings are now a core part of the project creation workflow, requiring a branch to be selected for better repository management.
- Branch Management: Fetch and switch between branches directly from the UI. When a new version is created, it automatically pulls and imports the associated branch content.
- Author Commits: Commits and push messages are now automatically authored using the logged-in user's name for clear accountability.
- Reliable Operations: Improved backend logic for handling repository cleanup, remote branch creation, read-only files, and repositories without an 'origin' remote.
Advanced Merge Conflict Resolution
- New Merge Tool: Replaced the previous merge tool with a powerful, integrated CodeMirror 3-way diff view, offering a superior user experience.
- Streamlined Workflow: A comprehensive, in-app workflow guides users through resolving merge conflicts. The process now handles remote divergence and ensures merge commits are created correctly, even when the working tree is clean.
- Consistent UI: The merge conflict resolution UI has been redesigned to align with the Seeder styling for a seamless and intuitive experience.
User Interface & Workflow Enhancements
- Real-Time Sync Status: The UI now features enhanced Git sync status indicators, showing if the local version is ahead, behind, or up-to-date with the remote.
- Clearer Operations: The UI now displays the number of commits to be pushed or pulled, providing better visibility into changes. Git actions (push, pull) are hidden unless a Git-controlled version is selected.
- Commit Message Popup: Commit messages are now entered via a dedicated, centered popup for a cleaner workflow.
- Segmented Auth Switch: A new segmented switch allows for easy selection of authentication methods (e.g., token, password) in Git settings.
- Improved Feedback: Replaced generic loaders with specific messages during Git status refreshes and provided more detailed error messages for Git operations.
- Performance: Optimized performance by parallelizing Git-related AJAX requests to speed up the interface.
- Project Context: The Git repository URL is now displayed in the project list for easy reference.
Code Editor & Developer Experience
- CSS Color Swatches: The CSS editor now displays a visual color swatch next to color codes, powered by the CodeMirror color swatch plugin.
- Indentation Guides: Added visual guides to the code editor to improve code structure and readability.
- Auto-Completion: Implemented an auto-completion list for
Utilsfunctions, speeding up development. - Icon Picker: A new, user-friendly icon picker with visual image previews is now available for configuring widgets. It supports project-specific icon fonts.
- Theme-Aware Syntax Highlighting: Code-assist syntax colors are now scoped to the current theme (Light/Dark) for consistent visibility.
