KoBar goes beyond simple productivity by bringing advanced creative, media, and artificial intelligence tools directly to your desktop's edge.

🤖 AI Hub

The AI Hub is a multi-provider, context-aware LLM client embedded directly inside KoBar. It allows you to chat with the world's most powerful AI models without opening a browser.

Supported Providers

  • OpenAI: GPT-4o, GPT-4 Turbo.
  • Google: Gemini 1.5 Pro, Gemini Flash.
  • Anthropic: Claude 3.5 Sonnet, Opus.
  • Local LLMs: Support for Ollama and LM Studio. Run local, private AI models seamlessly.

Key AI Features

  • Streaming Responses: Experience real-time token-by-token rendering. The AI types out the answer natively without lag.
  • File Context (Drag & Drop): Need the AI to read a document? Simply drag and drop .txt, .pdf, or image files directly into the chat window. The AI will parse the context and answer your questions.
  • Multi-Chat Management: Maintain separate conversation threads to context-switch between different topics.
  • System Prompts: Customize the personality and behavior of your AI by writing your own System Prompts in the settings.

Taking a screenshot shouldn't disrupt your flow. KoBar's Screenshot Studio is an advanced, multi-monitor capable capture tool.

Capture Modes

  • Region Capture: Click and drag to select any specific area of your screen.
  • Full-Screen Capture: Instantly grab the entire screen with a single click.
  • Multi-Monitor Aware: Whether you have one screen or three, KoBar spans across all connected monitors seamlessly to let you capture exactly what you need.

Annotation Editor (Powered by Konva.js)

Once you capture an image, the built-in annotation editor opens instantly:

  • Draw & Highlight: Freehand drawing or structured highlighters.
  • Shapes: Add rectangles, circles, and arrows to point out important details.
  • Text: Type directly onto the image.
  • Exporting: Once edited, you can either save the image directly to your disk or copy it to your clipboard (which can instantly be caught by KoBar's Sequential Clipboard Manager!).

🎵 KoPlayer (Media Controller)

KoPlayer brings system-wide media playback controls directly into the sidebar.

  • System Media Integration: KoBar uses Windows SMTC (System Media Transport Controls) to hook into Spotify, YouTube (via Edge/Chrome), Apple Music, and any other compliant media player.
  • Rich Display: View the currently playing track's Album Art and metadata right in the sidebar.
  • Transport Controls: Play, pause, skip forward, or go back without having to hunt down the application generating the audio.
