SM750 HDMI DRM Driver v0.5.5

Initial public release of the experimental Linux DRM/KMS driver for the single-HDMI SE-DP750A- HDMI PCIe card.

The recommended ultrawide mode is 2464x1080. It is compressed to the SM750's 2048x1080 hardware
scanout and can then be stretched across a physical 2560x1080 monitor. This generally retains more
detail and performs better than the full 2560x1080 logical mode.

Supported hardware

This release has been developed and physically tested with:

• SE-DP750A-HDMI single-HDMI PCIe card
• Silicon Motion SM750G10-AC, revision A1
• PCI ID 126f:0750
• Silicon Image/Lattice SiI9024ACNU HDMI transmitter
• 16 MiB display memory

Other SM750 boards are not currently supported solely because they share the same PCI ID.

Kernel support

Intended for Linux 6.8 and newer. It currently builds and passes the test suite against Ubuntu 6.17
and 7.0 kernels. Future kernels may require compatibility updates because this is an out-of-tree
driver.

Important warning

Non-EDID modes, ultrawide soft scaling, and higher refresh rates are experimental. Some options can
operate the GPU, HDMI transmitter, or monitor outside published limits.

Keep SSH or another recovery route available when testing experimental modes. Use this driver
entirely at your own risk.
