This is expected (although I agree it's not very intuitive).
It doesn't show up on the dashboard, but you will see it in automations:
Trigger > Device > SONOFF SNZB-01P
(Options appear after the button is pressed at least once: single, double, long)

That's expected indeed, see the docs on how to respond to button presses.
