Helix v1.5 — Testarossa Patch Notes

Milestone 8 polish release of Helix, a local-first AI desktop powered by Ollama.

  • Window bounds persisted across sessions (size, position, maximized state)

Helix v1.0 - Diablo

Stable Windows release of Helix, a local-first AI desktop powered by Ollama.

Installation (Windows)

  1. Download Helix.v1.0.Windows.7z
  2. Install Ollama
  3. Pull a model with ollama pull <model-name>
  4. Extract the archive to any folder
  5. Run Helix.exe

Requirements: the Python runtime is bundled with the app.

Known Limitations

  • macOS and Linux builds are not included in this release
  • ComfyUI backend still requires manual model placement
