Spoken 0.1.0 Alpha 1 — Test Build 5

Test Build 5 replaces Test Build 4, which passed static signature validation
but could not launch after installation because its ad-hoc app signature
enabled Hardened Runtime library validation for the bundled Sparkle framework.

What is new

  • Meeting capture returns to idle as soon as the authoritative Mic/System audio
and timeline are safely stored. Transcription, review, flows, and the derived
    playback mix continue independently.
  • The Notch guides a compact speaker review with stable audio samples, naming,
previous/next navigation, source-specific speaker counts, and optional
    proposal-based re-diarization.
  • Project flows are shown and approved per meeting before they run. Failed
flows can be retried individually, and provider/model routing errors are now
    actionable.
  • Audio can be dropped directly onto a project or imported from its project
action without first creating an empty meeting.
  • “Open in Hub” restores the Spoken window and opens the exact meeting
    transcript or outstanding review.
  • Hidden meeting recordings briefly reveal their Mic/System activity every
five minutes as a quiet reminder that capture is still running.
  • Screenshot notes remain open until they are attached, skipped, or dismissed.
  • The read-only Spoken MCP helper and existing local project access controls
    remain included.

Fixed since Test Build 4

  • The unsigned invited-tester package now launches correctly from Applications.
Its app, bundled MCP helper, and Sparkle components use a consistent ad-hoc
signing mode without Developer ID-only library validation.

Installation

  1. Download the DMG.
  2. Drag Spoken into Applications.
  3. Because this test build is not notarized, Control-click Spoken and choose
Open. If macOS still blocks it, use System Settings → Privacy & Security →
    Open Anyway.

Important

This build uses an ad-hoc code signature and is not notarized. It is intended
only for invited alpha testing on Apple Silicon Macs. Local oMLX or Ollama
routes must be running when selected; enterprise or cloud-compatible routes
must be configured explicitly. The supported alpha release will use Developer
ID signing and Apple notarization.

Superseded — Spoken 0.1.0 Alpha 1 Test Build 4

Superseded by Test Build 5

Do not install this build. Test Build 4 passed static code-signature checks but
cannot launch from Applications because its ad-hoc package incorrectly enabled
Hardened Runtime library validation for the bundled Sparkle framework.

Use Spoken Test Build 5
instead. Build 5 contains the same meeting workflow plus the corrected unsigned
test-package signing mode and has passed a direct launch test from its DMG.

The Build 4 assets remain unchanged for release-history integrity.
