Important
With this release, the layer is now opt-in. Set LOW_LATENCY_LAYER=1 in your environment to enable it globally. Alternatively, this environment variable may be added to per-game Steam launch options to enable it on a case-by-case basis.
Changes
- Disable the layer by default - require
LOW_LATENCY_LAYER=1. - Fix incompatibility with the Sway window manager when the layer was enabled globally.
- Extend compiler compatibility to GCC14.
- Fix a crash on NVIDIA gpus where we unconditionally consume VK_NV_low_latency2 function calls.
Known Issues
- In Counter-Strike 2 and other Source 2 games, setting a frame-limit will cause frame-pacing issues #9. We recommend you disable any in-engine frame limit (
fps_max 0) while using Anti-Lag 2 or Reflex until this is resolved. External frame limits such as those provided by MangoHud have been reported to not cause issues. - Incompatibility with the obs_vkcapture Vulkan layer - discussed in #5. This has been reported upstream.
