FFMPEG not found - ComfyUI Desktop

Hi, Guys I need some help pleeeaseeee 🛼😶‍🌫️.

I just installed ComfyUI DESKTOP on a MacBook M4 Max and trying to run an AnimateDiff Workflow.

It works well and the process goes trough all the nodes successfully but CANNOT save the video because of an ffmpeg issue. It only generates the PNG preview file in the output folder but no Video.

Steps I took to try to fix it:
I just installed ffmpeg using "brew" through Mac's terminal. I read about having to set up a PATH but if that is actually needed I am not sure how to do this.

step1 fix
Go here and download Apple Silicon version of ffmpeg (I have a macbook M4 so I downloaded this version of ffmpeg Static Build for MacOS)

step2 fix
(for me I was installing ComfyUI Desktop on my Mac)
go to your ComfyUI folder that has the models, input, output folders. Then press the keys command+shift+period, this will make the invisible files and folders visible.
The folder .venv will be greyed out but you can double click to open it. Inside there is a folder titled "bin", drop the ffmepeg file you downloaded in the bin folder and restart your comfyUI.

Then you can make that .venv folder invisible again with the same key combination as above.

If, like me, you already installed ffmpeg and want to use the real one instead of copying it, you can also find where it is (which ffmpeg) and then symlink it.

In my case for example, for the one installed with Homebrew :

ln -s /opt/homebrew/bin/ffmpeg /Users/$(whoami)/Documents/comfyui/.venv/bin/ffmpeg

my system is windows10 , and i meet the problem too , the solution is download ffmpeg form ffmpeg .org which 7z tag in https://www.gyan.dev/ffmpeg/builds/
then extract tag in C:\Program Files
finally add new system environment path like C:\Program Files\ffmpeg-8.0.1-full_build\bin to your system path
restart comfyui and it work
