Release Notes

What a factory will do next is on the dashboard: every scheduled tick by the Tower's own clock,
every layover with when it will actually be picked up, the queue, and the ticks that were skipped.

Compatibility. Additions only. The configuration format and the MCP tools are unchanged; the
HTTP API gains an endpoint and the on-disk layout a file, which an older release ignores. For
anyone using the crates as a library, layover_dashboard::Dashboard::timetable and the
Timetable trait are new.

Added

  • The dashboard shows what is going to start, and when. A new Upcoming tab lists, in the
order it will happen: work queued for a slot, with Cancel; every tick of every scheduled
workflow in the next 6 hours to 7 days, marking a tick held by a Ground Stop and the next tick of
a workflow whose previous run is still going; every layover waiting, with when it is due and when
a resuming workflow will actually pick it up; and the ticks skipped in the last seven days. The
route map gains next 14:00 · in 23 min beside each scheduled workflow's trigger, and its strip
a count of skipped ticks. Until now none of this was visible: a trigger said every 1h and not
when, layovers were not shown at all, and a skipped tick was a line on the Tower's console.
  • GET /upcoming?hours=, which the tab reads. The times come from the clock of the Tower in the
same process, because an every schedule counts from when that Tower started; a
--watch-only server answers with clock: null and no ticks rather than guessing.
  • Skipped ticks are written down, to .layover/journal/skips-<day>.jsonl, pruned on the same
90-day horizon as the rest of the journal.
