Questions about authentication, HREF and backup

Hi everyone

Im new to radicale and a fairly novice homelabber. Im really enjoying this software, im happy to be away from big tech. I have afew questions

1. Ive noticed that when i add my calendar to thunderbird or DAV5x, it doesnt ask me for a password. Is there a way to add a password when placing calendar or contact into a client? If there is a way to do this, is someone able to explain in simple terms? Do i need to use the TrueNAS shell or the radicale container shell?

2. What is HREF. When i uploaded my calendar it asked for HREF, what does this mean? Is it just the name of the folder is going to store it in?

3. Does radicale have a built in back up solution, or example to export data every week to a certain location?

I have not yet enabled any authentication.

I am accessing radicale as an app on truenas. It provides an option to add additional environmental variables. Would this be the right place to add authentication information? Otherwise I'll look at a fresh install via yml file

I have no insights how the installation on TrueNAS is done, but if it's container based, then there should be some capabilities available how to feed additional config options into, or a whole config file. Check Wiki for that.

Just trying to get my head around this. So I create an Apache htpasswd file, I go to an online generator and created an encrypted string then save that as a htpasswd file, then point radicala to the file?

Where about in the yaml should I put this

Does everything look OK here? I haven't worked with yml files much before

I think this stuff might be abit beyond me. Is there a guide for this for someone who is a basic user? I can set up docker containers but I'm not really understanding this side of it
