🚀 HHU Campus Network AutoLogin v1.1.0 - Initial Release Notes:

🌟 Overview

HHU Campus Network AutoLogin is a lightweight Windows utility designed to automatically handle the captive portal login process for the Hohai University campus network. This initial release provides a seamless, set-it-and-forget-it solution to ensure you're always connected when joining the target Wi-Fi network.

✨ Key Features

  • 🔄 Automatic Trigger: Runs silently in the background when connecting to the specified Wi-Fi network (default: "Hohai University")
  • 💻 Easy Installation: Simple setup process with credential input during installation
  • 🕵️ Background Operation: Works invisibly without a console window (unless debug mode is enabled)
  • ⚡ Smart Activation: Uses Windows Event Log (Event ID 10000) to trigger after a stable network connection is established
  • ⚙️ Configurable Settings: All parameters (username, password, target SSID, debug mode) stored in a simple .env file
  • 🗑️ Proper Uninstallation: Full removal support through "Add or remove programs"

📥 Installation

  1. 📩 Download HohaiAutoLogin_Setup.exe from the releases page
  2. 👤 Run the installer (requires Administrator privileges for task scheduling)
  3. 🔑 Enter your portal credentials (Student ID and password) when prompted
  4. ✅ Ensure "Run automatically on network connection" is checked
  5. 🎉 Complete the installation

⚙️ Configuration

After installation, modify settings by editing the .env file in the installation directory (e.g., C:\Program Files\HohaiAutoLogin\.env). You can adjust:

  • 👤 Portal username and password
  • 📶 Target Wi-Fi SSID
  • 🏢 Service provider name (if applicable)
  • 🐛 Debug mode (for troubleshooting)

📝 Notes

  • 🔒 The credentials are stored locally and this program is offline.
  • 📅 This is the first release, feedback is welcome!
  • 🆘 For issues, please open an issue on GitHub with logs (enable debug mode first)

Enjoy seamless connectivity! 🎊
