LineaOne Release Notes - Version 0.1.0

Welcome to the first prototype release of LineaOne, a timeline creation and management application. This initial version represents our first step towards a fully-featured timeline tool.

Important Note

This release is a prototype and should be considered as such:

• The application is in its early stages of development.
• The codebase is currently in a "proof of concept" state and not optimized or refactored.
• We expect significant changes and improvements in future versions.

File Format

LineaOne uses a custom file format:

• Extension: .jsonlo
• Structure: JSON-based, specifically designed for LineaOne
• Purpose: Stores timeline data and document information

Known Issues

As an early prototype, we are aware of several limitations:

1. Overlapping headlines for events in the same year
2. Diacritics not displaying correctly
3. Lack of safeguards when reopening documents with the same name
4. File browser shows non-*.jsonlo files and hidden folders
5. No validation for *.jsonlo file content

Code Quality

Please note that as a first prototype:

• The code structure may not be optimal or follow best practices in all areas.
• There may be redundancies or inefficiencies in the codebase.
• Documentation and comments may be limited.

We plan to refactor and improve code quality in future releases (v0.2.0).
