v1.2.0
What's Changed
- Added native Windows support via Git Bash
- Improved stack auto-discovery across platforms
- Discovery paths can now be customized using
DSTACK_BASES - Refactored discovery logic for better reuse and maintainability
Details
Windows support
DStack now works on native Windows via Git Bash, in addition to WSL2:
- Tested with Docker Desktop
- Uses Windows-style paths (
C:/Users/...) - PowerShell and CMD are not supported
Tip
Recommended Windows setup remains WSL2 + Docker Desktop
Smarter stack discovery
By default, DStack auto-discovers Docker Compose projects in common locations such as:
~/projects~/src~/code/opt/servicesC:/Users/<you>/projects(Windows)C:/Users/<you>/srcC:/Users/<you>/code
Custom discovery paths (advanced)
Discovery locations can be overridden without editing the script by setting this in the shell config (.bashrc, .zshrc, etc.):
export DSTACK_BASES="/your/custom/path1 /your/custom/path2"When set, DStack will use only these paths for auto-discovery.
Important
Custom discovery paths must not contain spaces.
