v1.2
v1.2 introduces the following:
-
ADDED: BlackoutOSC now supports video files!! You can select a video file from Finder and BlackoutOSC will play it when you press the "Test Overlay" button or it receives the respective OSC message.
-
ADDED: Loop Video. Check this box if you would like your video file to loop automatically (if it's not already a looped video) or not. This can also be controlled via OSC with the following string: /blackoutosc/videoloop where an integer of 0 disables looping and 1 enables it. When BlackoutOSC detects a video file in its filepath field, the loop video checkbox will be enabled. If an image is in its filepath field, the loop video checkbox is disabled.
-
ADDED: Mute Video. Check this box if your video has sound and you would not like it to play through your PA system accidentally. This can also be controlled via OSC with the following string: /blackoutosc/videomute where an integer of 0 unmutes and 1 mutes. When BlackoutOSC detects a video file in its filepath field, the mute video checkbox will be enabled. If an image is in its filepath field, the mute video checkbox is disabled.
-
REMOVED: the "setimage" osc node is now deprecated, in favor of the new "setmedia" osc node. "setmedia" will allow you to target either an image or video file of your choice.
-
FIXED: Command+Q now successfully quits the app when the settings window is open.

ADDED:
- File paths will no longer revert when the app is closed, or upon shutdown/restart of the computer.

-

v1.0
This application provides a simple, highly customizable way to overlay an image across the operator’s display when they leave the console—helping communicate console status, prevent unintended interaction, and keep the workspace visually appropriate during live theatrical and concert productions.
Designed specifically for production environments, the application can display custom graphics, logos, signage, artwork, or other images whenever the operator steps away. When the operator returns, the overlay can automatically disappear, restoring the normal console view.
Designed for the Booth, FOH, and Control Room
Whether you're mixing a musical, running a concert, operating playback, or managing another critical production system, the application can provide a clear visual indication that the console is temporarily unattended.
