Rowd v0.7.0-alpha

This alpha adds a resident Linux daemon while keeping the existing synchronization engine and sync protocol V12.

  • Start Rowd manually in the background with rowd daemon start, or use rowd daemon run in the foreground. Stop and restart through the CLI.
  • Inspect the daemon with rowd status, rowd logs [-f], and rowd events [-f] over a private local Unix socket.
  • Configure a systemd user service with rowd autostart enable. This enables future starts without starting or interrupting the current process; use systemctl --user start rowd.service to start it now.
  • Includes the Android reconnect and unlink fixes committed since v0.6.1-alpha.

The current TUI does not yet use daemon IPC and refuses to open while the daemon is active. Windows and Slint support remain future work.

Download the Linux x86_64 binary and Android ARM64 APK together. The APK supports Android 8 or newer and is signed with the Android debug key. SHA-256 checksums are included.
