- The app is now called Atlas Storage Analyzer. App Review rejected 1.0 (1.0.2) under Guideline 5.2.5 because
Macis not allowed as a name prefix, and the shorter follow-up name was already in use by another app. The new name appears in the application bundle, the macOS menu bar, the window title, the in-app access guidance, exported file names, and the DMG file names. The bundle identifier and the application support directory are unchanged, so an existing installation keeps its scan history and settings — there is nothing to migrate. - Release DMGs are now named
AtlasStorageAnalyzer-<version>-<runtime>.dmg. Older downloads carry the previous product name.
Fixed
- The Mac App Store build aborted before its first window, on every Mac. The .NET app host links only libSystem and libc++, so AppKit is loaded later through
dlopen. By then the process has missed the LaunchServices registration that happens at launch, AppKit falls back to a global-name lookup, and the App Sandbox denies it. 1.0.2 worked around this with a temporary sandbox exception, which App Review rejected under Guideline 2.4.5(i). The app now starts through a native host that links CoreFoundation at load time and runs the managed entry assembly in process, so the registration happens normally and the exception is gone. - The Intel slice of the universal Mac App Store bundle aborted for the same reason. It was started with
execv, which discards the LaunchServices registration. The nested x64 payload is now loaded in process as well.
Both fixes concern the sandboxed Mac App Store build. For the GitHub downloads below, this release changes the product name and the internal application host; scanning, cleanup, and export behavior are unchanged from 1.0.2.
Downloads
Both downloads are signed with a Developer ID certificate, notarized by Apple, and stapled. Verify a download with shasum -a 256 -c <file>.sha256.
