Added

  • ORACLE_MAX_TEXT_FILE_SIZE (default 2 MB): a separate, larger
per-file size ceiling applied to text/doc file types (currently just
.md) instead of ORACLE_MAX_FILE_SIZE (default 500 KB). A large
markdown file (a CHANGELOG, a design doc) is harmless to read fully into
memory — the splitter chunks it downstream regardless of file size — so
it no longer competes with the ceiling sized for arbitrary source files.
Same fail-loud parse contract as ORACLE_MAX_FILE_SIZE (unset falls back
to the default, an invalid set value throws). npm run watch applies
the same per-type ceiling. Skip WARNING lines now name whichever env var
actually produced the limit, instead of always naming
    ORACLE_MAX_FILE_SIZE.
  • Per-repo skipped-file counts from the last full index run, persisted
alongside each repo's freshness timestamp and surfaced by
    oracle_list_repos / CLI list-repos whenever a repo has anything
skipped: the total broken down by reason (size-ceiling vs. read-error)
followed by up to five example paths, e.g. "3 file(s) skipped in the
last index run (2 too large, 1 read error; e.g. harness/CHANGELOG.md,
...)". Reflects only the most recent run, not an accumulation across
runs: a file that stops being skipped makes the count go back down. A
repo whose files were skipped in their entirety (zero indexed chunks)
still appears in the listing with this count, rather than being omitted
for having nothing else to show. npm run watch reports skips live on
the console only; it does not update this persisted count. Orphan
repo_skip_meta rows for repos no longer discovered on disk are swept
at the start of every full index run, mirroring the existing
    repo_meta orphan sweep.
  • scripts/oracle-refresh.sh for a machine that serves as the index
source of truth: fast-forwards clean checkouts under ORACLE_SCAN_ROOT,
then runs the incremental index (ORACLE_REFRESH_PULL and
ORACLE_REFRESH_INDEX_CMD env knobs; see docs/configuration.md for skip
rules and install steps). A macOS launchd template
    (scripts/launchd/com.codebase-oracle.refresh.plist.example) mirrors
    the existing systemd unit.

Changed

  • The release workflow (release.yml) publishes to npm via Trusted
Publishing (OIDC, id-token: write); the NPM_TOKEN repo secret is no
longer required for publishing (supersedes the requirement noted in the
    0.6.0 entry below).
