v1.2.0
This release includes:
- The addition of automated coercion of data classes.
- By default,
fetch_ldc()will now attempt to coerce data returned from the Landscape Data Commons into the expected classes usingfetch_metadata_ldc()andcoerce_ldc(). coerce_ldc()now usesfetch_ldc_metadata()to accurately transform values but can also skip the metadata and simply convert variables to numeric where noNAvalues would be introduced.
- By default,
- The new function
fetch_ldc_metadata()will retrieve the schema for tables in the Landscape Data Commons which includes information about each variable like the data class (e.g., date, logical, numeric) and number of significant figures. fetch_ldc()now reports the total amount of time elapsed during server requests whenverboseisTRUE.
