Stable release from main branch. Questions now expire after a configurable wait while preserving explicit user interaction across every supported client.

馃幆 Features

  • The root question_timeout setting controls the server-owned question deadline in seconds. It defaults to 60 and accepts positive integers.
  • TUI, web app and direct run prompts show the remaining time. Selecting an option or focusing the custom-answer input cancels the deadline for the whole request; navigation, hovering, tab changes and default selection do not.
  • Timed-out questions are removed from pending state and tell the agent that the user is temporarily away. The agent analyzes the available choices itself and continues within the task's existing authorization without attributing an answer to the user.
  • Both question API generations expose an interaction endpoint and broadcast interaction and timeout events, so connected and reconnecting clients share the same deadline state.

馃攳 Verification

Source regressions cover the default and configured deadlines, invalid configuration, timeout delivery, interaction before the deadline, reply cleanup, interruption and disposal, exact agent-facing output, direct-run rendering and a real source-process TUI flow. The source-process test proves that navigation alone still times out while option selection and custom-input focus permanently cancel the deadline. The exact merged dev commit passed Typecheck, Linux unit and end-to-end tests, Windows end-to-end tests, and macOS prerelease artifact acceptance. The stable workflow will rebuild all selected platforms from main, publish checksums, and undergo separate post-publication artifact acceptance.
