opencode 1.0.51

Stable release from main branch. Make reasoning distillation opt-in and keep adopted conversation text consistent across display, reload and future model context.

馃悰 Bug Fixes

  • Configure reasoningDistillation.enabled in opencode.json. The default is false.
  • When enabled, the first completed user turn waits for distillation; later completed turns run distillation in the background. Tool steps remain part of their user turn.
  • Validated results replace the original reasoning part in place. The TUI updates through its normal message events, reloaded sessions keep the adopted text, and subsequent requests reuse it.
  • Failed, cancelled or stale work retains the current reasoning. Disabling the feature prevents new work and pending adoption. Existing compatibility and fidelity checks still protect unsupported, signed and encrypted reasoning.
  • Host AI SDK, native adapter and Core runner share the same persisted replacement semantics; Core history caches are invalidated after adoption.

馃И Test Summary

Host runtime suite: 4881 passed, 30 skipped, 1 todo, 0 failed
Core suite: 1441 passed, 0 failed
Workspace typecheck: 29 tasks passed
Lint, DAG gate and HTTP API gates: passed
Current main Linux/Windows E2E: passed
macOS release-candidate installer: 6 passed, 0 failed
Compiled runtime and live TUI: passed
Missing and disabled config: zero auxiliary calls

馃攳 Verification

Local compiled tests cover first-turn synchronous adoption, nonblocking later-turn adoption, automatic TUI replacement, reopened history and subsequent request replay. The actual 1.0.51 macOS candidate passed the installer/signature boundary and the same isolated runtime/TUI checks. Model responses in these checks use a local controlled fixture; they do not establish production-model fidelity. Current-head protected-branch checks and final released-asset identity are separate required gates.

Existing conversations are not automatically reprocessed when the feature is enabled. Background work requires the application to remain running. Exact provider compatibility and independent fidelity checks remain required; failed, cancelled or stale work retains the current reasoning.
