On a clean install the keyboard minimizes when I tap the down arrow in the nav bar. After a restore of just the layouts and theme it will stop minimizing.
No idea the exact sequence that causes it.
I've seen it start after using the edit layout, but it started doing it again after a complete data wipe and minimal restore and I had only set up the toolbar and settings, typed some and it would not minimize.
Force stop and clearing the cache do not help.
It is not a system thing, the other keyboard works fine.
The only thing that changed from when it worked fine was some of the new settings I adjusted mainly to do with word priority.
My guess it has more to do with the restore.

If I backup then clear data and restore the backup it will dismiss properly, but when I add back the gesture library it will not close out anymore.
