What's new

Quick formats

The export pane's shape choice is now Quick formats: Original, Phone (9:16) and GIF.

  • Phone (9:16) for Shorts, TikTok and Reels. Pick Crop to drag a vertical window, or Fit to show the whole frame on a soft blurred background.
  • GIF turns the selection into an animated GIF: 15 fps, up to 480 px, no sound, at most 30 s. Crop, blur and speed all apply, and each GIF gets its own colour palette for clean colours. GIFs are always saved as a new file.

Speed and fades

  • Speed from 0.25× to 4×, and fade in / fade out (0.5, 1 or 2 s), right in the export pane.
  • Both are previewed live: the player and every audio track play at the chosen speed, and the picture darkens to show the fades.
  • Fades now fade the picture to and from black as well as the sound.

Drag clips out of Vido

Drag a clip straight into Discord, a folder or a browser upload box, with its thumbnail as the drag image. It works from the library cards, the latest-clip tile, the player and the Storage page.

Low disk space protection

With less than 10 GB free on the clips drive (or the buffer's drive), Vido stops the buffer with a popup and won't start it again until there's room. A warning stays on screen meanwhile, so a full disk never breaks a save.
