What's changed

  • Improve automatic light/dark wallpaper switching on devices whose wallpaper service does not reliably receive configuration callbacks, including HyperOS devices.
  • Add a lightweight fallback check every 5 seconds while the wallpaper is visible.
  • Read the current display configuration and explicit system night-mode setting before selecting the wallpaper.
  • Stop fallback checks whenever the wallpaper surface is hidden or destroyed.

Testing

  • Unit tests, Debug/Release lint, and Debug/Release builds passed.
  • Verified light-to-dark switching on an Android 16 emulator.
  • Release APK signature verified (CN=Ray Hung).
