I'm very excited to introduce Typify 1.6.0! This update brings important workflow improvements, a complete overhaul to match Obsidian's new native settings API, and significant performance optimizations for a faster, smoother experience. In addition, of course, to improvements in the organization of settings, polishing of texts and explanations, and much more.

✨ What's New & Features

🪄 Command Palette & Context Menus

• Command Palette Integration: You can now search for plugin functions (Create style, Manage styles, Plugin notices) directly from the Obsidian Command Palette. This allows you to assign custom hotkeys to open these screens in a flash.

• Context Menu for Links: Added a new item to the context menu when right-clicking links. It performs a smart search: if the link already has an exact style or a saved prefix match, it opens the modal to edit that style directly.

🎨 New Styling Capabilities

• Outline Color Mode: A new visual style has been added! It displays only the border (well highlighted), the text, and the icon in the selected color, while lightly colorizing the background so the tag contrasts perfectly with your current theme.

• Prefix Match for Links: When enabled, your style is applied to any URL that starts with the value set in "Associated Link". This is great for grouping entire domains under one style.

⚡ Batch Creation & Duplication

• Batch Style Creation: It is now possible to automatically create styles for multiple unconfigured values at once (limited to 50).

• Quick Duplication: Added a button to quickly duplicate an existing style directly from the Style Manager, opening the editor pre-filled.

🔍 Advanced Filtering

• Style Manager Filters: Added filters to the top toolbar, allowing you to sort the list (Recent, Alphabetical) and apply advanced filters (Shape, Icon, Fill mode, Link) by clicking on categories that expand into sub-options, making it easier to find styles — whether simple or complex.

🖌️ Visual Redesign & UX

• Native Settings API: The plugin has been completely migrated to the new declarative native settings API (requiring Obsidian 1.13.0+).

• Consolidated Management: The "Manage styles" and "Other styles" modals are no longer modals — they have been condensed into dedicated, separate settings sub-pages using the new API components.

• Color Palette Overhaul: The "Color palette" modal has been entirely restructured to use the native Obsidian settings visual pattern. Sections have been grouped more cleanly, the layout is now responsive, and the generation mode cards feature consistent Lucide icons.

• Compact Favicon Manager: Favicon management is now more compact, with the provider selector integrated directly into the search bar using native Obsidian components.

• Modernized Notices & Changelog: The "What's new" and "Plugin notices" modals have been redesigned with pill-style tab navigation and fixed heights to prevent abrupt resizing.

• Refined Terminology & UI: The term "All properties" was renamed to "General", and "Generate color palette" to "Generate palette" to avoid redundancy. The "Shape" and "Color mode" options now come pre-filled by default when creating new styles. I've also added detailed explanations for each option, an informational notice about Prefix match, and an exclusive sparkle icon next to the Typify name in the Obsidian settings search.

⚙️ Architecture, Optimizations & Cleanup

• Instant Style Application: Adding a property to Typify now applies its styles immediately in open notes and views—no reload required! Removing a property also removes its styles instantly.

• Parallel Loading: Initial loading of icons, images, and custom favicons now occurs simultaneously (in parallel), reducing blocking time during Obsidian startup.

• Native SVGs & Caching: The internal file conversion function for SVGs and custom icons has been replaced with Obsidian's native function. I've also added an intelligent cache for native Lucide icon rendering, heavily improving visual update speed when handling dozens of styles. The old internal verification of tags in SVGs was removed to boost performance.

• Documentation & Outreach: The README structure across all 5 supported languages has been updated with new banners, dedicated feature pages, and sponsorship/plugin page badges.

🛠️ Bug Fixes

• Fixed a bug where the visual formatting (CSS) of tags would temporarily disappear when adding or clearing colors in the "Color palette" with the settings open.

• Fixed an issue where some SVGs loaded in the "Create style" modal would break the interface if they lacked the internal proportions (viewBox) attribute.

• Fixed the behavior when enabling/disabling "Custom icons" and "Favicons" so they immediately hide or restore correctly without turning into meaningless squares.

• Fixed a delay where dynamic views (such as Canvas and Databases) required manual interaction or a reload to display new styles after settings were saved.

• Fixed a delay in style rendering in windows that were not focused at the time of editing.

• The "Associated links" option now reverts to showing the original URL when its property is no longer styled.

• Favicon searches with no matches are now visually differentiated from an empty cache, and fetching will no longer freeze the plugin if a site takes too long to respond.

• When clicking refresh, the old favicon will no longer be deleted if the internet drops during the download process, and the "Retry" button now works properly for sites marked as permanent failures.

• The stored favicon size is now displayed correctly.
