CPPRO Skin Loader v0.2.0-beta.2

@LeiterConsulting LeiterConsulting released this 27 Jul 20:56

CPPRO Skin Loader v0.2.0-beta.2

This bugfix prerelease makes the in-app Refresh control update the online skin library as users reasonably expect.

Fixed

  • Refresh now updates both the GitHub-backed skin catalog and CPPRO device status.
  • Manual refresh bypasses stale HTTP/CDN catalog responses.
  • Overlapping background requests can no longer let an older catalog overwrite a newer result.
  • The current library selection is reconciled against refreshed skin metadata.
  • The interface reports refresh progress and restores the control after success or failure.
  • Regression tests cover refresh routing and cache-bypassing catalog requests.

The Mender Swarm release asset is now live and available through the refreshed catalog.

Downloads

  • CPPRO-Skin-Loader-Windows-x86_64.exe — physically confirmed Windows transport.
  • CPPRO-Skin-Loader-Linux-x86_64 — Linux/WSL HIDAPI candidate.
  • CPPRO-Skin-Loader-macOS-arm64.dmg — Apple Silicon candidate.
  • CPPRO-Skin-Loader-macOS-x86_64.dmg — Intel Mac candidate.
  • 70-cppro-skin-loader.rules — Linux udev rule.
  • SHA256SUMS.txt — release-wide integrity manifest.

Linux and macOS preserve the confirmed protocol implementation but still require broader physical-device testing. The macOS applications are ad-hoc signed rather than notarized.

Validation and all platform packaging jobs passed on commit 6f32072.

Moodfield v0.2.0

Choose a tag to compare

@LeiterConsulting LeiterConsulting released this 26 Jul 19:25

Moodfield

An adaptive, living typing surface for the Finalmouse Centerpiece Pro.

  • Builds persistent six-zone typing geography from ordinary use
  • Recognizes compact repeated patterns, including WASD-style gaming input
  • Blends localized key impressions into a weighted, cooling substrate
  • Includes a theme-matched, session-local Caps Lock indicator
  • Ships with the tested PAK, exact project overlay, reproducible authoring path, manifests, architecture notes, and checksum

Known limits: number-row activity contributes to the surface but is not assigned its own prose basin; arrow-key behavior remains intentionally subtle.

CPPRO Skin Loader v0.2.0-beta.1

Pre-release

Choose a tag to compare

@LeiterConsulting LeiterConsulting released this 24 Jul 18:00

Cross-platform beta of the CPPRO Skin Loader.

Downloads:

  • Windows x86-64: physically detects the CPPRO; upload protocol remains the proven Windows transport.
  • Linux x86-64: packaged and UI-tested under WSLg; real WSL hardware access requires usbipd-win USB forwarding.
  • macOS arm64: Apple Silicon candidate.
  • macOS x86-64: Intel Mac candidate.

Linux and macOS use the new HIDAPI transport with the same 1024-byte framing, acknowledgement, completion, and slot-activation sequence as Windows. macOS device upload is awaiting manual hardware validation. The DMGs are ad-hoc signed and not notarized, so macOS will require explicit first-launch approval.

Verify downloads with SHA256SUMS.txt. Linux users should also download and install 70-cppro-skin-loader.rules as documented in the repository.

CPPRO Skin Loader v0.1.0

Choose a tag to compare

@LeiterConsulting LeiterConsulting released this 24 Jul 16:32

CPPRO Skin Loader for Windows

The first public build of the portable Windows skin loader.

Included

  • Browse the maintained CPPRO skin library or choose a local .pak
  • Install to slots 1–5 and optionally activate the destination
  • Automatic CPPRO USB detection
  • PAK v11 preflight and SHA-256 verification
  • Scrollable skin cards sorted by newest, A–Z, or GitHub download count
  • Offline bundled catalog and cached skin downloads
  • Explicit confirmation before any keyboard write

This release also carries the four initial device-tested skin assets so GitHub
can provide meaningful per-skin download counts:

  • Keyfield A2
  • Keyfield Pulse
  • Koi Pond
  • Koi Pond: Caps Indicator

The executable is portable and does not require an installer. It is currently
unsigned, so Windows SmartScreen may display a warning. Verify the included
SHA256SUMS.txt before running it.

This is an independent community tool, not an official Finalmouse application.
