• SponsorBlock for YouTube Music. The parts of a music video that are not music (intros, sketches, talking at the end) are skipped, as marked by SponsorBlock's community. Only the video id is sent. On by default, in Settings → Playback with the YouTube source. Asked for in #30.

• Settings, rebuilt. The first page is your account and six tiles instead of a list of rows; every row carries a mark; pages slide in from the side. Glass is its own page with the preview pinned above the settings that change it, and downloads have a page of their own.
• A colour for the glass. Pick any hue, or the phone's own accent, and the glass carries it: the panes take its cast and the edge light goes the whole way into it. In Settings → Glass → Colour. Asked for by @n-noone25 in #29.
• Keep playing when the app is closed. Swiping Square out of the recents can leave the music playing; the notification still stops it. Off unless you turn it on, in Settings → Playback. Asked for by @vanshshah0011-arch in #27.
• Downloads and storage, a page that opens on where the space went (music, the covers and words beside it, the app's own caches) with everything that fetches or frees any of it under the chart.
• Re-fetch covers and lyrics for songs already on the phone, for the ones downloaded before the app kept them or on a day the lookup failed.
• Clear the app's caches, and the saved copies of playlists, without touching the music.
• App settings now also hold the bottom bar's behaviour and shortcuts to Android's own app and battery settings.

Fixed

• A playlist already on the phone was read again from the top whenever the app could not ask Spotify whether it had changed, at startup or when Spotify refused the question. On a long playlist that was a dozen requests for nothing.
• A line appeared across the middle of the tab bar at high refraction depth.

• Crash reports. Settings → About has "Save a report" and "Send a report": the app and Android version, why Android recorded the app as having closed, the traces of its own crashes and its recent log, with your account taken out. Nothing is sent unless you send it. Asked for by @VladosFlexXx in #25.
• The tick is back in the player for a song that is in one of your playlists, or playing from one. Tap it to see the lists: the ones the song is in are ticked and at the top, and picking one takes it out.
• An album's artists lead to their pages, straight from under the title.

• Songs could not be taken out of a playlist: Spotify moved that part of its API, and the old address said yes and did nothing.
• Picking a playlist the song was already in added it a second time.
• Skipping while paused loaded every song passed, and each one used up part of the allowance Spotify gives an account for starting songs.
• The Play button's shadow on an album page ended in a straight line across the page.

• On a light album page the Play button is black, so it stands out from the page.

• The explicit mark beside the song, in the player and in track lists. Asked for by @VladosFlexXx in #25.
• Square says when Spotify refuses songs, instead of leaving the player at --:--. Some accounts, mostly newer ones, are refused every song in apps like Square; the app now says so, rather than telling them to try again later. #26.

Fixed

• Downloads were far slower than they had to be: the wait between songs was measured wrong and grew to its longest on every track. The count in the notification is now what you asked to download, not everything on the phone. Thanks @VladosFlexXx, #25.
• Changing the app's language did not reach Spotify until the app was restarted, so names written in more than one alphabet, an artist in Cyrillic and in Latin, kept coming in the old one. #25.
• A song waiting to download was offered as "Remove download", as if it were already on the phone. It is "Cancel download" until it is.
• An unusual answer from Spotify could drop the connection.

Improved

• The tall covers Apple has for many records fill the player down to the controls, with no empty band under them, and change together with what is below them when the song changes.

• A smoother bottom bar: it folds and unfolds without stuttering while the page scrolls, noticeably so on mid-range phones.

• Sleep timer: at the bottom of the player's effects panel, stop the music after 5 to 60 minutes or at the end of the track. It keeps counting with the screen off, and fades the music out before pausing (Spotify pauses straight away). Thanks @n-noone25 for asking, #21.
• Your YouTube Music account, like your Spotify one: signed in with Google, add songs to your own playlists (the plus in the player, or a song's menu, with Liked songs first) and take them back out, follow artists from their page, and download playlists, albums and songs to listen offline. A song two playlists keep is downloaded once.
• New and Radio on YouTube Music: YouTube Music's new releases and charts, and its moods and genres as rows of lists to put on.
• Sign in with Google, suggested: on YouTube Music without an account, the home page and the library say what signing in adds, with a button to do it.
• Opening lyrics, the queue or the effects in the player now darkens the background as well as blurring it, so the text reads on bright covers.

Fixed

• The library could ask you to log in to Spotify while you were using YouTube Music.
• "Log out" in the account settings signs out of Spotify, and no longer shows while you are on YouTube Music.
• Picking Spotify by mistake or skipping the setup no longer leaves you stuck on the sign-in page: it now offers to switch to YouTube Music or to open the settings.
• The Square mark inside the app no longer sits on a dark tile.
• Karaoke now removes the voice on YouTube Music too.

• Home, New and Radio each have their own things: Home follows Spotify's own home, New has the new releases and the charts, Radio has the stations and the mixes, and nothing shows up in two tabs.
• Chips on Home: For you, Discover and Artists, sorted from Spotify's own rows.
• Similar playlists at the end of a playlist.
• Artist pages list the playlists the artist is in, "This Is" first, without needing your own developer app.
• The player's glass takes the colour of the song, kept dark so its writing reads on any cover.
• Swipe a recent search to the right to remove it.

• Music videos keep their own proportions in the player, on their side and in picture-in-picture. Some were stretched to fill the screen.
• Tapping the folded tab bar only unfolds it, instead of also taking you off the page you were on.
• Radio is back in Android Auto, next to the heart.
• The top of the player shows just the name of the playlist or album it's playing from, so long names fit, and the "..." button is gone.
• The first-run setup was unreadable in the light theme. It now follows the phone's theme, in the app's own style, and the choice of source says what each service needs, including YouTube Music's optional Google sign-in.
