Summary

This release expands upon Windows 11 Dynamic Refresh Rate (DRR) support with new virtual refresh rate API surfaces, resolves several serialization and packing bugs for DRR paths, and enhances the automated NuGet build process.

    • Corrected target mode index packing logic.

    • Configured the NuGet build pipeline to dynamically extract the version directly from the Git tag during the pack process.

Summary

This release implements Windows 11 Dynamic Refresh Rate (DRR) support in DisplayConfig, modernizes project configurations, and configures automated publishing.

Release Notes

  • Dynamic Refresh Rate (DRR): Added VirtualRefreshRateAware query flag and exposed IsBoostRefreshRate on PathTargetInfo.
  • NuGet Packaging & Modernization:
    • Renamed package ID to LLT.WindowsDisplayAPI and added Metanome co-authorship.
    • Removed legacy MSBump package to resolve build crashes under modern .NET SDKs.
    • Resolved deprecated NuGet properties (license/icon) and embedded the README.md as the package readme.
    • Suppressed XML comment compilation warnings (CS1591) for clean build logs.
  • Security & Compatibility: Upgraded the sample app from the EOL .NET Core 2.0 target to .NET 8.0-windows to resolve security vulnerabilities (NU1903).
  • CI/CD: Added GitHub Actions workflow supporting NuGet Trusted Publishing (OIDC) and automated upload of .nupkg files as release assets.
