The finished film: golden-temple-1080p60.mp4 (70 s, 1920×1080, 60 fps, H.264 + AAC).

Everything you see is generated by the code in this repository. There are no 3D models, textures, HDRIs or image assets. It was rendered offline in headless Chrome on an AMD Radeon 780M laptop iGPU, with 8 accumulated sub-frames per frame, in about 4 hours.

Every one of the 10 shots opens on a macro close-up and then reveals the scene:

  1. lantern
  2. lotus
  3. gilt finial
  4. wind bell and pagoda
  5. stone lantern
  6. hall eave
  7. golden Buddha and sanctum
  8. gate fitting
  9. mirror pond
  10. aerial finale
