Divvider 0.9.2

A tidier Settings window and better grid previews across displays.

  • Multi-Monitor Support now sits directly below Start at Login in General.
  • Check for Updates sits beside the Automatic updates checkbox, with more space before Advanced.
  • Grid appearance has separate Light Mode and Dark Mode tabs for colors, opacity, and cell highlights.
  • Show Grid sits below the appearance tabs and previews the selected theme on every display when Multi-Monitor Support is enabled.
  • Preview edits update across displays, and previews clear when you leave Grid or close Settings.

Requires an Apple Silicon Mac running macOS 14 or later.

Divvider 0.9.1

Smoother updates for a menu bar app.

  • When an automatic check finds an update while you're busy, Divvider shows a small badge on its menu bar icon and an Update Available item in its menu.
  • Divvider asks once whether to check for updates automatically.
  • Settings → General has an Automatic updates option and a Check for Updates… button.
  • If macOS turns off Accessibility access during an update, Divvider opens Settings with steps to turn it back on.

Divvider 0.9.0 (build 29)

The first pre-1.0 release of Divvider, a free window manager for Apple silicon Macs running macOS 14 or later.

  • Arrange windows with a fullscreen grid, compact selector, or both.
  • Save placements and keyboard shortcuts, with seven suggested placements on new installs.
  • Customize grids, spacing, light/dark highlights and menu bar appearance.
  • Optional multi-monitor support and start at login.
  • Signed Sparkle updates with a manual Check for Updates command and optional automatic checks.

Download the ZIP, unzip it, move Divvider.app to Applications and open it. Follow the Accessibility permission guidance, then press Control + Option + D to place a window.

The app is Developer ID signed and notarized. Intel Macs are not supported. Some apps enforce minimum window sizes; exit macOS fullscreen before arranging a window. Compatibility testing is currently on macOS 27.0.1 / Apple M1 Pro; older supported versions need broader testing.
