ResonanceDB Server v2.1.0
This release introduces parametric phase participation, dual-route adaptive IVF probing, native SIMD kernel support for weighted operations, and significant concurrency hardening across the storage engine.
Highlights
-
Parametric phase participation
- per-dimension phase weights via
PhaseWeights, each in[0.0, 1.0] - smooth interpolation: weight
1.0preserves full phase sensitivity,0.0suppresses phase contribution while preserving amplitude - integrated into scoring, routing, and indexing layers
- exposed through REST API on
/query,/queryDetailed, and/compare
- per-dimension phase weights via
-
Dual-route adaptive IVF probing
- Route A: L2/cosine centroid ranking
- Route B: ResonanceMoments-based approximate scoring
- progressive probe rounds with early stopping
- adaptive probe count derived from weight drift and suppression
-
Native SIMD kernel extensions
- AVX2 + SLEEF weighted compare, compareDetailed, and meanPhase
- dual-kernel equivalence verified within 1e-5 tolerance
-
Phase routing correctness
- circular mean (atan2-based) replaces arithmetic mean
- angular distance for shard relevance scoring
- correct routing at the ±π boundary
- legacy manifest migration on initialization
-
Concurrency hardening
- two-phase compaction protocol preventing data loss under concurrent writes
- WAL record allocation inside write lock for correct ordering
- strict acquire/release reader lifecycle across all query paths
- delta buffer deduplication and tombstone consistency fixes
- atomic manifest replace, synchronized phase statistics
Compatibility
Version 2.1.0 preserves full backward compatibility with 2.0.x.
Existing REST endpoints, storage format, and default scoring behavior are unchanged. The phaseWeights field in query requests is optional — omitting it preserves existing behavior. Applications that do not use phase weights require no changes when upgrading.
Versioning
This release corresponds to Git tag:
The runtime version is derived from the project Gradle configuration at build time.
