GRIME II Archipelago Randomiser

This mod is a WIP randomiser mod for GRIME II for Archipelago, allowing for multiworld randomisation.

Software:

  • Grime II apworld
  • Grime2APClient

Installation

  1. Install Melon ModLoader. Their installation steps are fairly well documented here: https://melonwiki.xyz/#/?id=requirements
    • For Linux, Melon only supports Steam. Make sure you add the launch options otherwise Melon wont load.
  2. Download the latest Grime2APClient.dll and Archipelago.MultiClient.Net.dll for this mod: GRIME II AP Releases.
  3. Once MelonLoader is installed, find your way to the new mods folder in your Grime II install.
    • For Windows: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\GRIME II\mods\
    • For Linux, by default it will be in: ~/.steam/steam/steamapps/common/GRIME II/mods/
  4. Place the Grime2APClient.dll and Archipelago.MultiClient.Net.dll you've downloaded into this folder.
  5. Launch the game. Enjoy!

Hosting a Multiworld

Visit the Archipelago Setup page for steps on setting up the Archipelago software to generate a multiworld

Joining a Multiworld

  • Start a new save file.
  • Open the AP Connection Window.
    • For the moment, opening the AP Connection Window is bound to F3.
  • Get past the Rippler of Waves.
    • Before the Rippled begins speaking, you can click the Flags&Skip button to warp straight to the Temple of Hands. You may have to hit F1 to toggle the UI. This is optional, and you can skip the dialogue as normal.
  • Once you have control of the Formless, enter your connection details and connect to your multiworld.

Known issues:

  • Tutorials still show as per their vanilla conditions.
  • Act 2 and 3 areas are not in logic.
  • More to come, probably.
