WattFlow macOS v0.3.0-beta.1 (Apple silicon beta)
WattFlow macOS v0.3.0-beta.1
This beta distributes the Powerflow app from the WattFlow macOS repository.
Highlights
- Native Apple-silicon Mac power monitoring with live system input, system load, battery, screen, and SoC flow visualization.
- Directional power-flow arrows and explicit
*W / Unavailablehandling for unsupported sensors. - Independent Screen Power and SoC Power display controls.
- A 100-point real-time power chart with manual Save and Clear actions.
- Optional chart auto-save when closing the red window button or quitting from the menu-bar icon, provided at least 30 points exist.
- Persistent history with manual deletion and SQLite cleanup.
- Safer AppleSMC and IORegistry handling for newer Apple-silicon Macs.
- Mac-only build: iPhone/iOS monitoring and MobileDevice private-framework linkage are disabled.
Compatibility and signing
- Apple silicon (
arm64) only. Intel Macs are not supported by this build. - Tested on an Apple M5 Mac running macOS 26.6.1.
- The app is ad-hoc signed but not Apple-notarized. macOS Gatekeeper may block the first launch. If it does, open System Settings → Privacy & Security and choose Open Anyway.
- The app name and bundle identifier remain
Powerflow. Installing it replaces an existing upstream Powerflow installation. - Screen-power telemetry is unavailable on some Mac models; the app displays
*Winstead of falsely reporting0.0W. Cmd+Qand the application-menu Quit command do not auto-save the current chart. The red window close button and menu-bar-icon Quit follow the Auto-save Chart setting.
