This is a live translator for some visual novel game players who use unix-like operating systems. This software is hard-coded for japanese game. Change it if you want.

You need to change DeepL API Key with Settings menu.

Requirements

• Tesseract
• Pipewire
• XDG Desktop Portal
  • You may need to install xdg-desktop-portal and one or more backend. Consult ArchWiki documentation for more details

How to build

1. Install rust
2. Install node.js
3. Install pnpm
4. Run pnpm tauri build

TO-DO

• Support other OCR engines
  • EasyOCR
  • ppocr?
• Add tessearact source lanaguge (currently hard-coded to jpn)
• Add translator option (target language, source language)
• Add font settings
• Add support for other translating engines
  • LibreTranslate
• Add image-to-image translation
