The Visual Polish & Performance Update! This update brings massive under-the-hood performance improvements to keep your PC running cool, alongside beautiful new visual effects and critical bug fixes.

✨ New Features & Improvements:

• Dynamic Colorful Glows: Pets in the Discover and Installed galleries now feature gorgeous, dynamic glowing shadows. We built a custom color-detection system that automatically analyzes the pet's sprite and generates a vibrant, matching aura!
• Active Companion Orb: The floating animated orb behind your currently active companion now automatically syncs its color to match your pet.
• Brand New Update System: We've completely rebuilt the auto-updater. You'll now get a sleek, glassmorphic pop-up on the home screen when a new version drops, with a direct button to grab the latest release safely!
• Crypto Support Added: Added Monero (XMR) and Solana addresses to the footer for those who want to support the project.
• Deep Performance Optimizations: We tore down the rendering engine and rebuilt it. The app now utilizes full GPU hardware-acceleration and native frame-pacing. The result? Massively reduced CPU and RAM consumption. Your pets will now completely sleep (using 0 CPU) when the app is minimized.

🐛 Bug Fixes:

• The "Stuck Pet" Bug is DEAD: Fixed a highly requested bug where newly installed pets couldn't be equipped, or equipping a new pet would force you to completely reload the app to see it. Switching pets is now instant and flawless.
• Layering Fixes: Fixed an issue where the new glowing shadows were accidentally rendering on top of the pets instead of behind them.
• Monochrome Math: Fixed a flaw in the color detection system that caused pure white or grey shadows. The algorithm now strictly hunts for vibrant, colorful pixels.

Thank you to everyone who tested our beta. We've taken your feedback and polished the engine to be smoother, less intrusive, and far more robust. This update focuses on deep stability improvements and refining how your desktop companion interacts with you while you work and game.

• 🔒 Single-Instance Engine Lock
  No more clone armies! We've overhauled the core Rust backend so that BetterFly is strictly locked to a single instance. If you try to open the app while a pet is already active, it will instantly recognize it and pull your existing dashboard to the front, guaranteeing one app, one window, and one pet.

• 🤫 Refined, Non-Intrusive Companionship
  We heard you—accidentally clicking the pet and triggering a speech bubble was getting in the way of gaming and clicking around your desktop. The "click-to-speak" feature has been entirely removed. Your pet will now only speak based on the automated timer you set in your Commentary Frequency settings, remaining a quiet, peaceful companion the rest of the time.

• 🛡️ OTA Cryptographic Signing
  Our Over-The-Air (OTA) updater is now fully armed with military-grade cryptographic signing. This ensures that every future update your app pulls is 100% verified, authentic, and tamper-proof.

• 💎 General Stability & UI Polish
  Graduated from BETA to STABLE. BetterFly now handles window layering, memory allocation, and framerates far more elegantly on Windows 10/11.

📥 How to Update

• If you are on v0.0.1 (BETA): Simply open your BetterFly dashboard, navigate to the Settings tab, and click the Check for Updates button. The app will automatically securely download this patch and restart!
• New Users: Download the BetterFly_0.0.2_x64-setup.exe file below, double-click it, and let the installer bring your desktop to life.
